Alright this makes no sense, we have a campaign where black people live, and yet we have no black soldiers. This makes no sense. I expected Gajjin to add black soldiers into the game. We have a black pilot, but that’s in a premium squad.
Black people are only bought and sold in this game its sickening
lol, here we go again. I’m just going to leave my “Kilroy was here” before this devolves and gets locked.
Anyways, on a serious note. Yes, they should be in armies or squads they showed up in, just like any other races or ethnicities.
Frankly it’d be fun to see Askaris or something along those lines in north africa, especially if they have old commission rifles or pre-war Gew.98s
I mean, there were West African, Middle Eastern, and Indian forces that fought for Britain, Italy, and Germany. I’m not sure if the US sent any segregated units to Tunisia though.
racist much?
I mean, it was until 1948. The majority of Asians (aside from Japanese) served in non-segregated units. US is weird with racial policy. That’s the reason Liberia exists as a country in the first place.
oh so if I step into a 1940s speakeasy style bar for a drink I should be shot in the head because it’s a whites-only bar? For realism sake? common dog, this aint right. no safe spaces here man.
We need full integration in our games as much as we need equal representation in real life.
What? lol There’s a difference between art and reenactment. If you walk into a bar styled to be in Prohibition era, they can’t physically attack you or demean you. Mostly because they’d get sued, boycotted, fined, or arrested depending on what racist act, should they preform one. You’re playing a video game, video games are works of art, this one is depicting WW2. If you don’t like the history surrounding ww2, play CoD or Battlefield, they seem to not care. I wouldn’t chastise literature or film for depicting the harsh realities of life back then. I personally think that breaking these racial divides in an artistic representation of the war sort of takes away from the experiences of the soldiers who had to live through those segregated units.
I wouldn’t advocate for white soldiers in the Japanese army when the Pacific campaign comes out, because there most likely wasn’t any back then. There should be black units where they were back then, same with women and other ethnicities.
For instance, we can add the 761st Tank Battalion to the US. They were a segregated unit who fought in Europe with Patton. The unit nickname was the Black Panthers and they are claimed to be “one of the most effective tank battalions in World War II”. Instead of trying to conform history to modern political standards, honor these war heroes by including them how they fought.
Do you need me to find you more pictures? If not, try not to be objectively racist. Yes, they weren’t the primary force/race within the armies they fought for, but they fought for them. Enlisted has squads that have real unit names on them, why would it be hard to use a segregated or African unit if they existed?
It would be cool to see a special squad of black soldiers.

errr…
…just sayin
Didn’t claim to know everything. I’d probably have to do more research to know where they fought.
So they were exiled White Russians who enlisted under Japan in Manchukuo and fought in Manchuria against the Soviets.
And their children who had never ben in Russia.
I am all for adding the various ethnic groups to the game. I don’t think you should be able to choose the ethnicity of the groups for example. I would love to see a Tuskegee squadron added along with the many many soldier, airmen and women that fought. WW2 was a war that encompassed all people’s with literally no exceptions. I myself see it more as an oversight due to the Beta testing and I’m sure it will be fixed.
