Be able to leave the plane without crashing

Hi, I just find it rather annoying that in order to leave a plane to play other squads, I can only crash it. This immediately breaks the immersion. How about we just have the option to fly back to the reloading area and get a button prompt saying “press [button] to return to the base”?

You can still lock the next aircraft slot as if the plane was crashed to keep your anti-kamikaze rules;
You can count it killed were it hit by the enemy plane (not by a random AI-locking boltie shot, it’s still ridiculous) when returning it, so that people can’t always avoid being shot down by the new rules.

The point is that sometimes I get a brand new plane to bomb someone’s tank but he might as well be gone the moment I spawn. Then there’s no point to reach the battlezone and I would either suicide or be bored doing nothing in a plane. Maybe we should be able to return the planes without crashing them?!

I already suggested the idea in my topic, you can see it here, if you are interested:

But yes, it is very weird that the only way to change squad when you’re in a plane is to crash it.

Yes, I made a similar suggestion in 2022.
Sometimes enemy planes are annoying and you have to use fighters.
But fighters such as the BF109-G-10 cannot support the ground after completing the mission of shooting down enemy planes. You can only let her crash.
This is so unfair. She has obviously completed the mission brilliantly, but she has to accept the cruel reality of crashing because she can’t switch to the ground team.
I hope that a function can be added for fighters to avoid returning to the ground by crashing.
This is a bit like the aircraft in the War Thunder Ground Arcade Battles, you can switch to the ground at any time

If I’m flying and not getting any kills and I want to leave the plane I just bail out, especially with my Ju-188 as it has five crew members all armed with smg’s. I’ll make one last pass, pull up and bail out. Am I penalized for it? IDK, but don’t care either to be honest. Most of the time by then I have already taken damage, so my thought is I shouldn’t be penalized for bailing out of a damaged plane, and either way, I am not Kamikazi flying into the target which seems to be the complaint. Flying a bomber, most of the time I am shot down anyway before I can just decide it’s time to bail, hoping to at least salvage several of my flight crew. Hell, sometimes I don’t even get a single pass before I get shot down, but unlike a Tank, we get no grey zone to hide in. :wink:
