Youâve ignored literally all facts posted in this thread and are instead doubling down on not knowing what the hell you are talking about. Cheers
The french and mongols also took moscow.
Well, not on the XXthe century of course ^^
Lemme state that in a battlefiel, even if you are on the defencive side, most times armyâs will counterattack ence the German on defencive side.
Counteratacks from both sides were present during the campaign. Having axis defending a town wasnât wrong at all.
Oke then Explain Why Axis always Defends on Berlin and Normandy
So when are we getting D-Day with Americans defending?
You do. There is 1 invasion map where alieds defend in normandy. It starts on the collective farm. On the B objective of conquest and ends on a church.
Both defending and attacking are avaiable to either sides.
So that means Germans should never be able to win the map in this game ? Otherwise thatâs not accurate anymore.
What if Allies fail to win the D-Day map on Normandy ? Do we keep playing it until they win ?
The Battle of Moscow campaign is not taking place inside Moscow unlike Battle of Berlin which yes, is in Berlin. Unless you think the Monastery is supposed to represent the city of Moscow itself. Then thatâs really not realistic.
Battle of Moscow is the name of the battle because it was the battle to reach Moscow. Like the Napoleonic war Battle of Waterloo was not actually at Waterloo.
Maybe Germans and Russians shouldnât attack on the same side, ok Iâll give you that. But having only one side always attacking and the other one always defending would be boring
For Battle of Berlin Iâd be bothered if Soviets were defending the Reichstag or if Germans were the ones storming Omaha beach but in Battle of Moscow itâs a battle in Moscowâs suburban. Germans attacked and Soviets had to counter-attack at some point.
Iâm all for realism and accuracy but here for Moscow campaign thereâs no identifiable places like Omaha beach or Reichstag that you can say âwait a minute, thatâs the wrong side defendingâ.
Again, Battle of Moscow is the name of the attacks to reach Moscow as a whole. Not the battle inside Moscow. And Monastery map is not Moscow, itâs just a monastery. Maybe you didnât notice but Monastery map is attached to Vyosokovo village map
Its the same with Moscow then. look here, Devs uses this as pic and calls it battle of moscow
Yet the Germans are Defending this, like wtf
This shit is moscow in ww2, just google it, its extremely similar and close. Its fucking weird the Germans are defending Moscow in my book
That front line was in fact battle for Moscow⌠Even tho axis never reached it⌠The campaign is correct.
I know, not my fault if you dont read my posts. I literally said only 1 map its a 50% where US can defend.
On Normandy its 90% German Defending, it should be the same for Soviets on Moscow. At least 70%, not fucking 50%
But, in fact only 1 counterattack was made so close to the beachesâŚ
Most counter attacks were made way after the beaches and surroundings were lost.
We have to wait for more maps on the French side that could be a possible scenario of a counterattack.
Coz Germany landing on a beach in France would be just wrong lol
As far as I remember I donât recall axis side invasion as atacker in berlin in all the alpha and beta tests. We might have to wait for more maps on the surroundings that justify a axis force as atacker.
A possible scenario could be the 9th army escape to west sideâŚ
Once again, Battle of Moscow is not the battle inside the city of Moscow.
The Battle of Moscow was a military campaign that consisted of two periods of strategically significant fighting on a 600 km (370 mi) sector
And the Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed you showed in the picture is no where extremely similar to the one in the game.
Orthodox architecture have similar features all over Russia just like a catholic church in Rome can be similar to a catholic church in Normandy or Lisbon
Do you have me muted for the reason I have no idea about? Or simply donât want to acknowledge the links that Iâm sending to you?
This church isnât an inspiration for Monastery map. This literal Monastery is:
Joseph-Volokolamsk Monastery - Wikipedia
Germans are not defending the City of Moscow, they are defending one Monastery and one village, which irl counterpart is located 17km from Moscow itself. Moscow Campaign map is heavily inspired (and even named) by Volokolamsk region. And Russian counteroffensive also went through that region after Germans were pushed away from the Moscow City.
And âBattle of Moscowâ is the name for the whole campaign, not battle for one city (that was never reached by German army):
Devs are using the most characteristic and central building on the map as an icon for the campaign in the menu. It doesnât mean that litteral Moscow is shown on that picture.
Iâm not sure at this point if OP is trolling or just incredibly stubborn.
Even if the Devs were to reply here saying âno, Monastery isnât the city of Moscowâ, OP would still argue that it is.
are you fucking stupid the battle of moscow was never in the city the whole battle of moscow thing was the russian defense and then mostly the counterattack on the german frontline. the German front line was 30 km before moscow so YOU ARE NOT FIGHTING IN MOSCOW you fight in Villages in Monasteries and Stuff like that and Moscow wasnt even in artillery range from the germans so fuck of with this bullshit
Germans defending the monasteries is dumb as f. Villages is fine, but the monasteries and russian cities is just pure dumb
