Are there any Films depicting the Russians attacking Moscow/ Soviet Cities where German Troops are Defending? There’s none.
Germans are always on the Offence, thats what is called Battle of Moscow

So german winning that map would also be unhistorical. So let pretend this isnt GAME what would happen if germany captures last objective? if we want real historical accuracy then gwrmany should just lose…

Well this is a game, the setting is important. Germany winning on that map don’t matter because its a game. But the setting as i said they want to go for Historical Accuracy, in this case the setting doesn’t fit at all.
It basically feels like Soviets are Defending Berlin to me. Its wrong
Not even single map look close to moscow. Event that history knows as ‘Battle of Moscow’ didnt even happen in city itself. Germany was stopped over 20km from city itself and pushed back. So actually Soviets did (counter)attack.

You can also Counter-Attack while on the Defence btw, like on Monastery where you drive back the invaders. not the other way around
They took the outskirts of Moscow,west of Moscow,then the Soviet troops drove them away.
But this is not the Moscow City. I already sent you a link: Joseph-Volokolamsk Monastery - Wikipedia
This place inspired Monastery map. And it’s located 17 km from the Moscow itself.
The whole map is even called Volokolamsk, not Moscow City.

He meant that the Soviet and German troops were attacking the monastery from the same side, which is quite strange

He never mentioned that. But stubbornly repeats that Germans never captured Moscow City itself and Russian counteratacks are historically inaccurate. But at the same time refuses to take historical facts and the fact that we don’t fight in the Moscow City into consideration.
It would be nice if there were different angles of attack for different sides, but that’s not the point here.

well, yes, but actually no.
( sorry for the awefull meme ).
the reason why russians do not defend anymore, and the germans do not attack only, it was because of the request by players of that time.
and i can’t really blain them, i have a neutral thought about it. which i somewhat agree to it.
the main reason, was for gameplay. always doing the same thing over and over in the same way, it gets boring. as such, it makes the gameplay alot different and opens alot of opportunities.
and lastly, the devs also stated that back in the days, russians made alot of counter attack in order to weak the german army ( which eventually did happened ).
soo yeah, mainly for gameplay reasons and make things different.
because again, it wouldn’t be fun being stuck always defending the same map over and over ( or vice versa ).

They need to change the direction of the counterattack, otherwise it’s really funny, the German and Soviet troops are advancing on the same side

That could work on Vioskowo Village Invasion map and (maybe) on Forestery in the future. But honestly I would leave Monastery as it is - it is designed to be attacked from this one side and (for me) it is really fun to have possibility to both attack and defend the river and walls on the second to last point.
