It was just the confusion of France. They thought that if they defeated Germany once, they would definitely win the second time. And then there’s that stupid Maginot line.In general, the French were naive fools.

.>You sited mosins
.>MG-34 will would be the final LMG and don’t tell me it’s an issue since the allies get lmgs li the BAR in it’s stead which i have no issue with why would i have with the french lmgs?
Also we already have people with the Lewis guns runnign around so there’s not relaly an issue with some of the othe french MG plus that they could be used in bunkers and as engineer 2 mg emplacement
Erma EMP was used by the French since they got thousands of them due to the Spanish civil war and they also got Thompsons from the US (the actual French army not the Free French) so there shoudl be no isse with haivng an assaulter tree and like it or not yes people like using bolt action by your logic we woudl all be playing modern war games.

.> “BA are the same” so you wan winter war for 2 guns, meaning you the French already got more bolt guns
.> The only intense thing here is your seething
.> “But it’s further away bro” and yet same terain so a none argument
.> oh yeah cause dense woods and snow are not in the battle of Moscow cut the crap
.> You can seethe cope and dilate all you want the French had tanks the finns are underpowered even for tanker 1 let alone the rest won’t exist
.> Believe it or not that’s lot of players that want a bolt action meta and have been pissed off by all the semis in moscow
.>Yeah the fairly many are the 5 people who played Hoi4 winter war 24/7 and think it’s a good candidate for a campaign in Enlisted current state

If you insist that people would indeed play france campaign due to unique BA’s do please tell how unique they are ? Do they shoot whiteflags or something drastically different that people would really grind campaign tree of pretty much nothing else than obsolete LMG’s your unique BA’s and ofc the famous Mas smg that definitely is worth the grind
( Id assume its worse bonerkiller than the M-38 in moscow campaign )

Allies got quite alot of tools to fight with. Frenchies not so much.

Wasnt one of your original statements of why france over winterwar because theres so many unique french weapons that theres no need for captured / imported weapons ?

And if we go down that road theres plenty of weapons for FDF if we take in account importent guns.
Especiatly those BA’s your so fond with french campaign.

Not just that but the absence of 10 different tank types would make it heavily infantry oriented, which would be by far more unique than your 5 different french BA’s.
And yes, Id rather grind a campaign to obtain 1 good gun than 10 useless guns.

Yeah moscow is famous for its 1000’s lakes, soils and primeval forests.
Not to mention during winterwar they fought on entire lenght of Finland & Soviet border aka well beyond arctic circle as well.
Never heard moscow area having polar night, but if you say so. So far your astonishing knowledge of weapons & topography has been flawless.

Definitely not in same manner as they would be in karelian isthmus or lapland. While you cant really change the topography of France.

Yeay, more tanks wheee so unique format that none else campaign has wheee.

No idea are you now arguing against BA’s or in favor of BA’s.
If you are in favor of BA’s then you would enjoy the winterwar. If not then you probably would enjoy the allied version of tunisia unlocking 5 different BA’s as french while being mowed down by SMG’s & Lmg’s.

5 ? Woaw, more than people who are in favor of your french campaign.

Why are poeple playing Tunisia allies? for the broomstick thompson and the the vikcers?

You should ask why people dont play tunisia axis.

multiple good reasons
mostly copy paste gear which they probably already have unlocked elsewere(axis(not axis ->allies) is similar, but not as bad as theres only normandy)
large maps means a lot of running, which is awful when there isnt a rally(which there fairly often isnt because engis are at lvl 9)
garbage starting vehicles(on both sides)
and the full auto spam from allies

What timeline do you live in? Axis Tunisia is full of rela players since the Mg-34 was added and again answer my question

Tunisia map desing does not fit the modes we need Manuver from Tannenberg

Buck have solid points all this thread.

Content wise, comparing the French front to the winter war, ofc the french ill give more content to fill a campaign and to be enjoyable.

Both, will have copy content ofc, since both will fight against ussr or germany

But looking at unique content to be added, ofc the French front will be more enjoyable to play with.

Saying that the French maps will be like the normandy ones it’s exacly like saying that winter war ones ill be like the Moscow ones

Finland had way less unique stuff than the French could ever bring to the game. And since it is a side no game actually display, I would like the French campaign Alot to be added one day.

Next in-line could be the pacific. Regarding unique content, maps, squads etc. If they even find a way to make tank VS tank an enjoyable experience there and not a us powerhouse.

But even that have no current interest to me. I rather have them balance, add more levels, content and maps/modes to current campaigns, than have yet another Tunisia campaign

Looking the campaign tree theres quite variety of weaponry available for allies, not just 1 smg and 5 bolt-action rifles.

And il attach this one as well.

So I dont exactly see how your 5? unique french BA’s, 3? Mag fed LMG’s, 1? 2 ? SA rifles and the one and only SMG could compete with the axis infantrys full-auto weapons.

Basically i put in winter war because people would have brought it up.

My point was to show that we need a different campaign - aka the pacific

We need current campaigns to be filled with the right content.with more maps, game modes and features.

Not another Tunisia campaign.

It’s only my opinion.

And if another campaign it’s on the makings, pacific would be the right one to be added.

Well, in Sino-Japanese war campaigns we can see French weapons too: Chinese Yunnan clique had lots of French weapons like FM 24/29, Lebel M1886, Lebel rifle grenade launcher etc.
If you want to see French weapons, perhaps it can be an alternative choice.

There will be basic early war smgs like mp34 and mp38 and again if you wanna push it towards some more powerful designed the French did buy Thompsons, oh reminder that’s more guns than what finnalnd bring let alone varierty since it will be 1 new tree vs 1 copy pasta instead of USSR vs USSR tree

7,65 mm Bergmann M/20 can also be added for finnish tree.
Mp18 thats a massive maybe as it was mostly adopted by civil guard, regardless theyr weaponry was given to FDF when war broke out, civil guard armory could have had even more different smg’s idk.

Then we have the swedish volunteers and theyr weaponry, swedes brought the
6,5 mm Infantry Rifle M/96, Swedish Mauser
Theyr own smg that was essentially the KP31 with some modifications, manufactured by husqvarna.
6,5 mm machinegun M/14 Schwarzlose
Mauser M/94-14 carbine
Light machine gun Kg m/1921
Kg m/40 automatic rifle
Norwegians? Not sure did they bring theyr own weapons or where they armed in Finland. Il check on that later.

then we have

7,62 mm and 7,70 mm Vickers Machineguns
7,92 mm Maxim MG-08
7,62 mm Maxim M/09-21:
7,62 ItKk/31 VKT
7,62 ItKk/31-40 VKT
8,00 ItKk/36
machinegun L-33
7,62 mm and 7,71mm light machineguns M/Lewis
Intentionally left most soviet guns out.

some rifles
6,55 mm Rifle M/02 Japanese
7,62 mm Rifle M/1895 Winchester
10,67 mm Infantry Rifle M/1870 Berdan (Berdan II) This one is russian but due to its age I highly doubt it was used by soviets.
7,35 mm Rifle M/38

These ones are massive maybe again as it was civil guard weapon regardless all civil guard weapons were transferred to army when war broke out.
6,55 mm Infantry Rifle and Carbine M/05 Japanese
6,55 mm Infantry Rifle and Carbine M/97 Japanese

Cba to add pistols as theres quite variety of them and are quite irrelevant.
Edit fk it got nothing better to do.
7,65 mm Pistol M/23 and 9 mm Pistol M/08 Parabellum
9 mm Pistol L-35 "Lahti
7,63 mm and 9 mm M/96 Mauser “Ukko-Mauser”
7,65 mm Pistol M/19 “Spanish”
7,65 mm Pistols M/1910 FN and M/1910-22 FN ( Continuation war )
9 mm Pistols M/03 FN and M/07 Husqvarna
9 mm Pistol M/35 FN “GP”
7,65 mm Pistols M/15 and M/19 Beretta ( continuation war )
9 mm Pistol M/34
7,65 mm Pistol M/35 Beretta ( continuation war )
9 mm Pistol M/23 CZ (vz.24) ( continuation war )
9 mm Pistol M/39 ( continuation war )
7.65 mm M/1914 Mauser ( found in inventory usage unknown )
7.65 mm M/SAUER modell 14 ( same as above )
7.65 mm Browning M/1900 ( same as above )
7.65 mm Bayard (M/1908)
7.65 mm M/Dreyse (M/1907)
7.65 mm M/Walther 4
7.65 mm M/Beholla
11,5 mm Colt (M1911)

Pretty sure theres now more rifles & MG’s (which aint presented in the game )
than your french campaign would give.
Funny how the arsenal grows relatively big when you add the imported weapons too.

And ofc, theres even more variety if we extend the campaign to continuation war and include some intresting imported guns and prototypes.
Such as
7,65 mm and 9 mm M/Neuhausen MKMS:
9 mm MP 28-II not exactly something new but used during continuation war.
9 mm MP-38 and MP-40 same as above.
7,62 mm general purpose machinegun L-41 “Sampo”
7,92 mm light machinegun FN D:
8 mm light machinegun M/15 Chauchat:
7,5 mm light machinegun M/24-29 Chatellerault

some prototypes
9 mm submachine gun M/42 Suomi
Prototype L-36
Aimo Lahti’s L-39 prototype
Carl Pelo and his automatic rifle prototype
Submachine guns of Carl Pelo
Heavy submachinegun AL-43 prototype this one would be intresting as it uses various intermediate cartridges such as 9x35
7,62 mm light machinegun L-34 “Sampo”
7.62 mm general purpose machinegun MG 42
Il also throw TaPaKo rifle here even theres very little information about it. Build by sako anyway and only 1 made.

Lul fun fact the Brits, Belgians and mauybe even the dutch can be a part of the battle, but you wouldn’t know causer you think the battle was the German going aorund the maginot line

Theres that minor differency that finnish forces used just as well swedish gear.
But regardless, dont hesitate to figure out what new they would bring to the game.
