No, there are no sources confirming that afaik.
Korean war is not even 1/10000000 of what WW2 was. It’s relevant for 2-3 countries.
I expect that maps depicting the Japanese and Soviet battles will probably be added soon, in fact, after the campaigns are merged, since there is no need to create a new campaign and progression system, only to add one or two maps. (Although the Battle of Khalkhin Gol was also a clash between Manchukuo and Mongolia, to be precise.)
I would love to see that.
And it would be fun to add Chinese factions in the future so that we can recreate the China-Japanese war as well.
I would love to see the “Stalingrad of East Asia” the Battle of Shanghai.

In the invasion of Manchuria mostly earlier war tanks were used as the Japanese didn’t have a large fleet of medium and heavy tanks like the Germans, but mostly lighter vehicles.
