BAR 1918 to BR2 (with nerf or without)

I just want a true American weapon for my machine gunners on BR2.

Bren I and Bren II are British, and Vickers-Berthier was refused by the US and only adopted by the British Indian Army.

We already have BAR 1918A1 and BAR 1918A2 on BR3.
So BAR 1918 is also kind of useless there.

To be clear: I don’t care about nerfs/buffs/damage numbers/stats, I just want an American MG on BR2.

If BAR 1918 needs to be nerfed to have its place on BR2, so be it.
At least it will have its place somewhere.

The most OP about BAR M1918 is its ADS speed, if we were to lower that from 0.65 to 0.45, it would be as strong as any other MG on BR2 but still have a BAR feel to it. :+1:

I don’t think the bar 1918 is gonna be ever touched anymore, the gun itself can’t be purchased because as the Germans stalingrad mp717, mannickler m93 and soviet Stalingrad Breda, Thompson It Is a Legacy weapon of Pacific allies who just veteran of the old campaign system have

I don’t have issues in reintroduce her nerfed to be in BR2 but I can’t say the same for other Players who have it, who Maybe are against it

1918 BAR is in Tech Tree since Pacific introduction it was added there as TT not just as a Prem

I’d really rather have it so that 20-30rd LMGs get less oppressive movement and aim speed penalties so that players actually feel the weight of finally getting LMGs that start at 50rd-100rd.

The way the low-BR LMGs are right now, they’re not really worthwhile when every faction has access to cracked zero-recoil BR 2 SMGs with no movement speed penalties and fast ADS speeds.

Yeah it’s right here

You can forget what I said up then :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

For some reason I was believing it was a legacy gun, maybe I read it somewhere gonna check it where it was written

Sorry no gold for you

@Veekay45 I think the:
M1895 Colt–Browning machine gun

Can do the job too is a very weak MG for his specifications and widely used even if not completely adopted by the army itself, it has a rate of fire of 450 so is in line with other BR2 mg, it can come with a belt of 50 round and a huge recoil penalty to compensate the lack of bipod and tripods if the soldiers isn’t fixed on a surface or belly on the ground

Well my main idea is to give US BR2 a WW2 weapon to use.

And we have 3 BAR versions on BR3, making at least the ‘worst’ of them redundant imo.

Nice trolling)))

You know he’s one of those adherents of historicity, which in 2 years after merge has not died out yet.
He doesn’t just want a 2 BR machine gun, he wants a HISTORICAL ACCURATE 2 BR machine gun. Got it?

And was used in ww2 too that’s the neat part

The bar patent is dated 1917, and the production started in 1918, isn’t a ww2 mg but a ww1/ Post ww1 MG

I’ve been advocating for the base BAR1918 to be lowered to level two for a long time now, and so far, like with every other suggestion I have had in the past two years Dark Force has either ignored it, or no one from DF even comes to the forum to read our suggestions. The base BAR is perfect for level two, as it is roughly on par statistically with the MG13, and superior to the Vickers or Bren MG’s.

Seeing that the BAR is a WW1 weapon should at least be a decent reason to put one at the lower levels. And to be honest, I don’t think the base BAR should be detuned to go to level two, it should go just as it is. There are no perfect gun for gun comparison’s, but I think the ROF is the same as the MG13, it has more vertical recoil then the MG13 and a five round smaller mag then the MG13. I use the MG13 because in my view it’s the gold standard at level two MG’s.

I think there a BAR that has the option for slow auto and fast auto so maybe a br2 version would be stuck on slow auto maybe? that being said the loads of other faction machines guns at br 2 have 25 round mags or 30rd mags so cant see why a bar would need to be in BR3.

Want a BAR for a second BR instead of a Bren?

Get your BrenBar! I hope everyone is happy now

While an actually cool weapon, people would still complain about the top mag which limits visibility.

I think a better way would be to make it a level 2 semi-automatic machine gun
I know semi-auto doesn’t fit the machine gun setting.
But I don’t want to see its performance compromised

How is that possible?
