BR 2 ⬅ BAR 1918

• USA has 3 almost identical BAR versions on BR3
• BR2 doesn’t have an American MG
• nerf BAR 1918 if needed and move it to BR2

I just want a true American weapon for my machine gunners on BR2.

Bren I and Bren II are British, and Vickers-Berthier was refused by the US and only adopted by the British Indian Army.

We already have BAR 1918A1 and BAR 1918A2 on BR3.
So BAR 1918 is also kind of useless there.

To be clear: I don’t care about nerfs/buffs/damage numbers/stats, I just want an American MG on BR2.

If BAR 1918 needs to be nerfed to have its place on BR2, so be it.
At least it will have its place somewhere.

I dont understand why this hasnt been done yet.

I would also demand that the Lewis gun be added to BR III Allied tech tree WHERE IT BELONGS.

That way we have US and British options at both BR levels.

Personally Ill never understand why people praise the M1918BAR so much. The A2 is great but the first one sucks.
You cant hit anything due to the vertical recoil. It’s also not a proper LMG, its called an automatic rifle for a reason and only has 20 rounds.

I disagree with nerfing it because I just dont see how it would be OP at BR II.

The base 1918 BAR should be dropped to level two, and since it has a higher recoil then the other two BAR’s I’m not sure how much if any de buffing it should have, but it should be level two. I guess if I were going to do any buff it might be lower the ROF from 600 to 500, but make it’s max 600. However, I don’t think a detune is needed, just use the base 1918 model as I think this puts it on par with the Soviet RPK 1943. Speaking of RPK, it needs the mag size upped from 15 to 20 or 25.

For myself, seeing that I don’t use any MG squads in level two would only mean that I would have a total of maybe 3 or 4 BAR’s in level two anyway, but they sure would be better then anything else the Allies have, and give them an actual American MG to boot. Well, in actuality no, since the BAR is actually an assault rifle, but, when has DF cared about reality.

Well yeah that’s the problem if the BAR were to be BR II it’s ADS speed and sprint speed would have to be reduced but at the same time this is what makes a BAR a “BAR” being able to move fast and aim faster compared other LMG.

The only other way this can be done if the BAR were to be sent to BR II is others 20/30 rounder LMG gets faster sprint speed and faster ads but slower than BAR so there’s some what of a bar counter part for other countries

Personally I don’t think every nation should have a counter for every weapon someone else has.

Because that is what leads us to SU-9 (1946) situations.

However, I literally wouldn’t mind if BAR 1918 was turned into an MG-13 reskin.

It’s currently sitting useless on BR3 behind two other better BARs.

And BR2 is lacking an American MG.

I hardly see how sights alone should dictate the BAR remain at a higher BR.

The MG13 sights are just as good imo and it’s BR II.

When USA isn’t op enough we shall give them an Bar BR II while ussr have Madsen …
LMG in BR II are pretty equal even if Madsen lack a bit , adding a Bar like that without touching it would breack the "balance "

Crazy opinion though the A2 sights are much better. This playerbase is insane.
