I don’t think the original Bar should be removed.
Heck for some reason we have the Beretta 1918 WW1 SMG in Normandy of all places
And here’s where a magical thing called: Folders exist for.
Don’t want to unlock the same rifle again? folder it.
Don’t want to unlock 3 different M60s? folder them.

I believe we will see T20E2 in tec tree very soon.
Exclusively made for German paratroopers.
Not to mention that only Assaulters and Gunners are supposed to handle non scoped auto weapons.
The BAR isnt a LMG either. Its a automatic rifle pushed into MG role by the US and was sometimes used outside its forced roles.
This bar is just way worse version of T20. It does pretty much the same thing but with worse stats and its exclusive for one specific class.

Good. Even if I have the M1919A6, it saddened me to hear the M1918 was no longer available to unlock in the locked behind PC test server. We need to be going up in the number of guns, not down

I can take 4 T20 into one squad, meanwhile I can take only 3 bars into one squad currently.
(If I don’t want take them as secondary weapon for premium lmg squad, which would extreme nonsense, since ammo bag is just better)

The… T20 is a gold order weapon? Okay so why should we have A n y B A R if we have the T20?
Okay so: Why should we add more SMGs to the axis if they will never meet up to the Conders?
A gold order weapon is limited, a tech tree gun is unlimited.
Kinda weird argument since this gun supposed to be discontinued and completely removed from tech tree.
And this topic was just suggestion how to keep it significant.

Are we not limited to 2 orders per Gold Weapon? When in the world could we buy 4 of the same one?
There are 2 in normandy and 2 in pacific. So you can buy all 4 and transfer them into a single campaign( or wait for the merge)

So far the devs have even said they don’t want to remove anything buttttt that was in the past they also said engineers would keep their ARs.
Logically losing guns is stupid, But as said the T20 is a gold order weapon still, Just like the Conders
I find the idea of putting a tech tree gun next to a Gold Order gun kinda silly. As you’re not wrong, Why on earth would I use any of the bars when I can have 4 T20s, Why use LMG class when I can just have a handful of rifeman with t20s instead.
But here’s the thing, Post merge if you have 2 teams of LMGs + riflemen squads + Assulters… the BAR 1918 is able to fill that role perfectly. Is it as good as the T20? no, But until we can get unlimited gold order weapons or gold order weapons end up as tree tech guns, The BAR 1918 is the best thing we could in theory get.
And to follow it up as I know someone will probably say this: While the A1 and A2 are great and probably my 2nd favorite guns to use, The 1918 feels alot better and if I am not wrong which do correct me if such, The 1918 doesn’t slow you down.
I do believe the A1 and A2 does.

Wasn’t in the test server, Pointed it out on reddit and devs said “they couldn’t figure where to place it.”
Imo: I think it also has something to do with the 1918 prem squad in norm. As far as I know (past the stalingrad stuff) it is the only other thing being unbuyable and not in the techtree post merge.
