MG 13 does not the reduce movement penalty of the BARs. BAR are much more mobile weapons, almost acting as the select fire rifle of BR 5. BAR are good because they are not as cumbersome as other MG

if this game had any semblance of the historical accuracy it prides itself on the M1 would be rank 2 the bar would be rank 1 because the m1 was a standard issue service rifle for most unit clear through the war the 1903 was mostly phased out
Except it does not. There are many prototypes weapons in the game and Historical accuracy is not really an argument anymore for the game

ZB is worse than 1918, at first it may seem like ZB is better just by looking at the rof but a lot of other stats are significantly worse, starting from reload, ads, moving penalty, visual recoil, hip firing spread and ofc movement penalty. There is also issue with a mag obscuring your view:
BAR is a BR3 weapon, they could folder one of them and force you to only unlock two of them instead three it would fix most issues.

Since always. BARs have only -25% speed reduction (-20% for WAR). Almost all other MG have -50%, you can check on Euthymia’s speadsheet for more details.
And this is the reason why BAR are br3, they are simply much more mobile compared to all other MG, making them more versatile.

I doubt DF will ever drop the base BAR 1918 to level 2, however, I think they at least should sell a premium level 2 BAR squad. They did this with the Thompson. One squad is not going to change any power ratings. I use the German mod30 and it is superior to any of the allies Bren guns, and has less recoil then the base BAR1918, so like I said, the 1918 is not going to shift any power to the US. Besides, if w’l% is any indication from my squads, the US could use some help as they are at 55%, Germans 72% and my Russians 78%.
I have also said that I think DF should put a 40 round mag on a BAR and make it a level 4 or level 5 gun. Base BAR to level 2, A1 and A2 stay at level 3 and a bigger Mag BAR to level 4 or 5.
I rely not on what is written there, but on combat use. And ZB is perfect. It’s clearly better than Bar. The 1918 is terrible, its accuracy despite the scope is worse than that of the ZB.

They are not comparable, the premium br2 Thompson only has 20 round.

I wouldn’t mind BAR 1918 be lowered to BR2. As we currently have no US MG at this BR.
But it should be nerfed as well.

You are extremely biased and what you are saying is nothing but a baseless speculation and subjective opinion. BAR is much better and it’s a fact stats never lie and if you think ZB sights are better then i think you need to get your eyes checked. ZB is so perfect that nobody is using that gun and always pick up Breda or MG13
