BAR 1918 and 1918a1 should be rank 2

Simply put the 1918 and 1918a1 have no business where they are at rank III there is no reason to pick them over the 1918a2 the A1 should be rank 2 and the bare bones 1918 should be rank 2 as well.

That does not mean that these weapons should be BR2. BAR are some of the best weapons available at BR3 and the 1918 and 1918A1 are only slightly worse than the A2 variant.

There is no reason to take MP38 over MP40 (not even mentionning the Berreta M1) or to take the Pz 4F2 over the 4 J. That does not mean that these weapons should be lowered.

This is an understatement at best they don’t compare to the A2 it is in a completely different league its closer to an LMG than either of the previous models could ever hope to be at bare minimum the 1918 should be rank II having no improvements at all and just being the WW1 variant.

not sure how when the only significant difference is 10 less points of vertical recoil (and vertical recoil is extremely easy to control) and slow auto

But at the same time the MG34 is an MMG and the 1918 isn’t it also has no bipod so the the argument here is irrelevant a comparable gun would be the MG 13 and ZB

I do not know if comparing it to GE MGs is generally a good idea. Probably much closer to FG42s in its intended purpose of offering enough firepower while easy to manage. You might say its auto is weak, but you can use it as a semi-auto and have basically a BR 3 FG42 with less recoil and shot deviation. So moving that to BR 2 would cause much more trouble than you might imagine.

So is Zb-26, but these guns only have Auto Firing mode and even when burst-fired do not achieve the accuracy or kill efficiency you can achieve with BAR. Another thing is BAR is just a 20-round M1 Garand when in semi-auto with even less recoil, now do you think M1 Garand should be moved to BR 2 as well?

Let me be more direct.
All these weapons can lockdown a door effectively.
ZB-26 and MG-13 perform better when bipoded and shooting at a mob of enemies coming towards you.
BAR performs better when shooting precisely at targets even at longer ranges and instead of emptying a mag into a crowd allows for precise elimination of valuable enemies ( AT, Flamethrower, Snipers etc.)

I think the only thing that should matter is dispersion and movement penalties.
