Balancing the economy

The thing I ask myself all the time: If I would be a new player, why should I even bother equipping anything above BRII, when unlocking my first BRIII weapon?

As soon as I equip it, I will get matched up to BRV, while the rest of my squads would use scrambled BRI and BRII weapons.

The best course of action would be staying at BRII until I would have researched all BRV weapons and grinded enough money to buy max upgraded STG44s / FG42 II for every soldier that can hold one.

Same for soldier classes… why should I even bother getting Assault II and hire & fire enough of them until I have max perk points on them, when I would have to do so on Assault III and Assault IV again? The game needs a (for the player incentivising) way to make any soldier have max perk points (for example if I like their names and want to keep them) and also to upgrade a for example a Assault I to Assault II and so on.

And how Many time it will take to grind enough money to be ready for br V ?
I think, if I were a New player, I Will stay for 1 or 2 months in br 2… And leave the game because the economy is too hard (not enough silver After 1 game)

How come Mosin M1938 Carbine benefits from the upgrades discount

But Mosin M1938 Carbine (D) doesn’t?

I have friends to whom I would recommend this game if not for this awful economy.

Back then, I bought my irl buddy a Stalingrad bundle for 15€ in sale.

This was absolutely perfect for a gamer to whom Enlisted will never be even remotely one of his main games.
Even so, he gets more or less everything in that campaign game in very short period of time. And it set him up perfectly for merge.
He still plays Enlisted with me from time to time.

Btw. He then even bought APC preorder.

Agreed. Rewards seem copy pasted. Some that require 5000 kills give you measly 1k silver just like some basic mission.

Default weapons don’t have upgrade discounts, it’s super cheap to upgrade them, it costs 600 silver, and a normal 4 star weapon costs 1020 with the 40% discount

This is my underlying problem with BR. I don’t think equipping one weapon of a specific BR should doom you to high tier when the rest of your gear is low tier. It should work on a weighted system (except vehicles, they should remain as is).

Thanks for at least some changes. I like the extra achievements.

Has it been considered making achievements repeatable? (to promote doing it more)

Especially core gameplay ones like (Although I would bump the silver on the 5000 kills ones by a factor of 10 IMO)

*also just as a side request: Obviously there is a counter/tally for rallys, Objective captures and kills. Could we have them added to player stats?

Tried to play Japan these days. I didn’t play japan before merge, so I am technically a “new player” to play japan.
The match itself is fun, but I am still struggling at BR1. I am unable to earn enough exp to unlock those 30K tanks and planes in BR1, so I have to stick with the basic weapon. Even for that, my sliver is not enough to upgrade them.

So I quit playing Japan.

This is not enough, the upgrade reduction is nice but you need to increase silver gains in battles and actually reduce the costs of weapons and soldiers. And also trying to stabilize the ingame economy with RNG login boxes shows that theres someone in charge who has no idea about this stuff…

I hear where you’re coming from but consider that this person may be working insane hours and not actually enjoy constant beatings by the community.

I’m not exactly throwing myself in front of attackers here, but I can imagine being in that position is harder than some on this forum may appreciate. The devs seem to listen to the community though they don’t seem to always appreciate the priority/importance of some feedback. I also know that they must have pressures and constraints we don’t know.

Today had a few improvements and a (tiny) economy improvement. We need more but at least it’s movement in the right direction.

Now I’ll go back to being my cynical self.

If the dont appreaciate it, then they dont listen. The main issues of the game are a simple result of arrogance and ego, just have to look up the responses from Keofox himself on the Combat notes: Battle Rating-post and how arrogantly he already wrote off the predicatble negative steam reviews as review bombings.

I think he referenced review bombings that some users on this forum all but promised to have queued up.

Well said…I had thought about that last night…we are a bit of a “mob” in here. Cant be pleasant.

In the big picture, Lots of stuff has found its way into the game as suggested in some form (if unfinished). so thats something I suppose.

The economy change might not have been very significant here…but they are at least willing to look at it…

No, it’s not. They’re cheapening something that didn’t need to be cheaper because it was already cheap enough.
Yet they ignored the really problematic stuff like mp40 and stuff.
I don’t see how this is the right direction.
They basically just decided to take a random path to the left. That’s it.

Some BR2 weapons still costs the same as BR5 weapons.
Real issues hasn’t been touched in any way.

This whole “economy balance” is fail.
They’ve just made some BR1 and B2 weapons cheaper (not counting vehicles and insignificant increase to dailies)

Could say the 3k weapon price never was much of issue, sure I dont mind at all the prices coming down even a little but as above stated the upgrading weapons is expensive af.

Would have been by far better option to simply make BR2 6* guns a 4* guns max.

Whatever, that’s not my point. And I’ve never claimed anything like that.

I’m only interested in the total cost of the maxed out weapons.

Newbies will still be put against better weapons which are priced literally the same as the end game weapons.

DF only lowered prices of trash fillers for newbies. But it doesn’t mean much, since newbies will still get seal clubbed by veterans with maxed out T3+ weapons like mp40s or even some BR3 ones.

Aha, interesting.

I see now that D version is 3 stars.

Cheers.

As a new player I can answer that.

With the new rewards, I got up to 20K silver.

I’m unlocking BR2 weapons, using non upgraded bolties.

I’m farming up squads only to be able to have max level radio, using enineer squad only to farm lv1 engineers to place in future squads.

So right now, I’m only playing squads I don’t wan’t to because I want my radio to be able to shoot more than once every year, and farming engineers to place into further squads.

I’m not playing vehicles, they are too expensive, and the interesting ones are faaaaar away, and if I have to buy every single vehicle without using it just to try a plane with bombs… Why bother?

Then, I’ll have my fun BR2 squads, with the weapons I want, and I’m gonna keep them until I can unlock BR5, I won’t play any BR3 matches because of shit matchmaking, and why buy br4 weapons when they are going to be so expensive I’ll need a ton of silver to enjoy BR5.

And that’s 1 army…

So, in the end, I spent around 40hrs on the game not having fun, just to be able to boost useless squads.

Earning 600 silver per game, often get ran over by BR3 players, or jumping in the middle of a game.

Prices are not matching the gains after doing my best in game, matchmaking is shit, I’m not paying for a beta game.

I admit I’m hooked in by the daily reward, once a week I can get something nice. Woohoo.

Is that enough to keep me playing? I don’t think so.

I would pay for skins, outfits, battlepasses, if the game was finished, and the prices were not so damn high. And if the devs actually cared about the player base.

Atm I feel I’m a walking wallet, the game will never go out of beta, the steam release is a joke, and if I don’t want to pay 1K € right now I’ll have fun in a year or two.

I’d better use that money for my rent, fuel for my car, wedding plans etc, rather than farming years of gaming before being able to have fun.

If even veterans are broke, where they payed a lot of money, how is it a free to play?

I had hope with the steam release, hoping it would bring more players in, but all the reviews today are the same, 20€ for a free to play game, it’s a joke.

Right now I’m hooked in by FOMO, and afraid of how many bots I’ll have in my games, will I jump on a mine I can’t buy, why my AT gunner can’t kill a tank? oh yeah, BR1 AT gun isn’t powerful enought vs BR3 tanks…

Don’t think I’ll play this game any longer if devs don’t do a massive turnaround to bring it back to life.

Which I doubt more and more every day.

Steam won’t bring any new players, reviews are fun to read, and more people are leaving every day…
