With their rate of fire, it doesn’t matter if they take you out with one or two shots.

The semis has a problem with reduced rate of fire because of the cheaters. (Which is completely justified).

Ok. Then we should also make MGs OHK because they share damage with semis (and rof argument also applies).

So at this point we end up with all rifle cartridge weapons with OHK capacity. Tbh I’m not sure what would happen. I suspect low BR would be dominated by MGs or early SA rifles and high BR either by MGs or SF rifles (depending of your tolerance to dispersion and movement penalty).
Assuming this is true (which it may or may not be), I don’t see how this improves anything. This is just moving obsoleteness down the tech tree.

I wouldn’t mind it.

As long as MGs have that horrible debuff dispersion when they move, they will never be meta (with a few exceptions). They just aren’t versatile enough. You can react fast enough with them.
SF are already dominating in high BR just because of the simple fact engineers ( besides premium/events ones) can’t take AR.

Btw.
If dmg is increased to SF rifles, they should get that horrible dispersion debuff semis havem
Then it would still be advantageous to take ARs, since you could play much more action-orientated with them

No, just no.
You want to damage the balance of low BR to fix high BR. This is simply selfish.

I’m sure ppl won’t complain about this debuff being added.

What? Doesn’t make sense. Quite opposite, you are selfish if you want semis to stay shit just because they can fight low BRs.
Classic mentality of ā€œif there’s something stronger than BA, it needs to be nerfed to the groundā€.

Yes, literally the most powerful weapon type would get properly balanced in reflection to other types of weapons. What a tragedy to have logical consistency.

I suggested 2 ways of improving semis:

  • buff other stats than damage
  • make FS rifles not straight better than semis

So I try to fix the issue without breaking anything else (clearly selfish behavior). Or at least I’m trying.

Classic mentality of ā€œI don’t play this so who cares if it gets worseā€.

I’m try to make weapons good without making them straight upgrades (on the class/type level). Because upgrades are boring and sidegrades are nice.
Since you can’t really buff BA rifles any further (not without auto aim), they are what I compare everything else to.

We don’t do logic and consistency in enlisted.

Also, I too suggested nerfing FS rifles a bit as a solution to SA vs FS issue but without damaging low BR balance. But your way is clearly superior as it does additional collateral damage which is always in plus.

I think they should just reclassify federov as SF Rifle. Since it’s very similar (not stat wise) to newly introduced Type hei auto. It uses even the same ammo type. Its stats should be reworked with this change.

Fedorov is an anomaly.
None of the nerfs that apply to other weapons apply to Fedorov, its really weird.
I first want to see how they implement SIG KE7, it should have similar or if not identical stats.

That could pave way to more powercreep failed LMGs and battle rifles, unless they get nerfed to normal AR level.
