The lack of low SMGs for Soviets and their reasons for not changing the stats of the PPSs have always been the bane of post-merge. The Soviet SMGs simply screws balance and is the sole reason for the recent all-growing powercreep in low BR.
I never understood why they didn’t lower the RoF of both PPS in the first place and make them more suitable for Br II.
Suggestion
PPS 42 should fire at the rate of 500 - (570 fully upgraded). A solid option equivalent to MP 40/Beretta M1. Having slightly better recoil stats than PPS 43 also makes the PPS variants more clearly distinguished from each other.
PPS 43 should become today’s PPS 42 and fire at the rate of 600 (690 fully upgraded).
Luckily, it’s never too late to correct things. The exact numbers could obviously be discussed, but I believe changes along these lines would make the game more balanced and healthy in low BR.
Sidenote
Urugan could easily go to Br III, making it an intermediate step between PPS 43 and PPSH-41 box, or a side grade to the latter if one insists.

I forgot to add: a general reduction of fire rate should also mean an improvement of PPS’ dmg to 7.0 imo.
Regarding the Urugan, maybe increase thr reload time. Not sure about ROF since information about this gun are limited to couple of Russian sources.
In BR3, it is far worse to the PPSh Box since it has 0.8ish dispersion.
The Germans got buffed, the Americans got the M1A1, and the Japanese already had a great SMG. The problem right now is not the PPS, it’s the Uragan, I believe it should be buffed and moved to BR3.
Well, even if it would get the same-ish dispersion as the Drum version, the Uru is still slower and has worse dispersion. Also worth noting that there is no German SMG in that BR that is as bad in terms of accuracy.
Since it already shoots faster than it should, I see no point in putting it in BR3 unless buffing it in areas where I fail to see any justifaction. Rather nerf it in terms of rpm and reload time.
They need also better visual recoil as 1.6 is just dreadful it’s also issue for all german smgs at BR2, mp38/40, berettas, lower it to 1.0. While overpowered M1A1 has 1.2 of visual recoil.
Wrong PPS-42/43 are vastly superior than anything Germany has at BR2. Uragan is obviously a BR3 weapon and pretty much already confirmed it will get changed or moved to BR3.
Are you oppressed by the entire Soviet branch? Do the knives and axes of the USSR also oppress you? Oppression from the PPS, my God. No one is oppressed by the Beretta 1918, but they are oppressed by the PPS
PS Beretta 1918 is in reality a BR1 weapon, that’s why nobody is using it. While pps-42/43 is used and abused every single match it needs to get nerfed.
I’m fine with the PPS-42 ROF as is, as it seems to be somewhere within where the real PPS 42 was. However, the PPS-43 I have seen a couple different numbers, one says between 500-600 and the other says just above the PPS 42 up to 700. I find nothing number wise on the Uragan, but really, it could just as easily fit into level three. The German FNAB 43 IMOP needs to be increased, and I would just put it where the PPS 42 rof is at 600 start and 690 maxed.
DF is not going to change anything anyway, even though there is forum topic after forum topic on buffing this and de buffing that. I have seen many posts on raising the FNAB, and even started a couple myself over the past six months or so, but 99.9% of the time our requests are DOA upon request. I have very little faith in our suggestions page when it comes to the Dev’s.
