Aviation skill gap

Bots marking may work, but do we really want to cement the fact that bots are becoming better tham the majority of the playerbase?

thats because majority of playerbase are acting like bots

aircraft is support role. its goal is to soften the approach for your infantry. but if your infantry is camping no amount of softening will help you win. you may get 50 kills in one bombing run and it will be useless if nobody is on cap.

hey! Hs 129 is an attacker plane and has scope, what about them?

yeah, but like, if i player sniper or tank support role i would be able to shoot enemy continuously, and kill more, but with airplane you only get to kill few guys here and there

i dont have problems in normandy, but then again most of the planes there are loaded with explosives.

it doesnt help if those explosives barely kill few soldiers or so, to make aircraft actually efficient they need to shred entire squads in every run, and i seen groups of people cooperating to do that, it makes aircraft unstoppable, but then you have people who dont play in VC with other people and literary cant do anything

this is also part of reason why this forum thread is called “aviation SKILL GAP”, there is too much diffrence between a veteran and a noob, so much diffrence that an aircraft can either kill few people and crash or litetary win games nearly by itself, its an issue that has to be adressed

well people need to learn how to dive bomb. there are youtube tutorials and it should be implemented in the game. also like i said, enemy is most often found around cap points and unless you have a teammate on discord that can accurately tell you the position of groups of enemy, you best bet is to bomb around the cap.

yes, and im saying that this is the problem, wouldnt you agree?

not really… your role as a support is to soften the cap, not to search for clumps of camping enemy that are sniping your teammates from 150m away to get your kill count up. if there are no enemies at the cap or behind it, then your teammates should be capping it. while it is nice to get your kill count up, that is not your ultimate goal.

also i always search for muzzle flash that is visible from air and then try to mark it. that is how you get accurate position of the tank (btw marking system from plane needs tuning).

cap tends to be in positions that you cant strike, such as houses, bunkers, …

That one is a very strange outlier, as it relied primarily on guns for CAS. However, the vast majority of CAS aircraft will not do that, as the costs typically outweigh the benefits.

you can always make educated guess. rally points are usually 40m away from cap point. if you know maps, they are often build in same positions. there are limited amount of approaches from rally to cap. if cap is in closed position then you target that approach and aim to destroy rally point if you can.

that is why it is so much easier for beginners to use tank than plane. to effectively use plane you need some map knowledge…

and here we are, back to my point again

but it is possible then

If we get the HS 129 sure, but I doubt it as even the SBD didn’t get it’s telescopic sight.

here is training video for new pilots

dont get me wrong, i just want some love for newbies

they just need to add tutorial for planes. basics of flying, dive bombing, rocketing, dogfighting and rearming. i didnt even know there was rearm point when i first started, so i more or less suicided first few times.

rest of the skills will be gained with more experience.
