Aviation skill gap

Not true, on my 27in 1440p monitor infantry still don’t render until about 300-500m or so. It’s not a limitation of people’s hardware, it’s a hard limitation on their engine iirc.

I can see them within 400 at 1080p
Better at 300
And they’re perfectly visible further in

The game is working by design I think

That’s… yeah, 300-500m, what everyone is saying. Christ, people on this forum cannot read.

“I can see them at reasonable range”
What the fuck did you have to add then if you just did the same thing

Yes that would be a good idea, amd if I wanna level my plane I must take it out for a spin either way.

Seeing from 300m isn’t ‘fine’ from the air by any means, but I guess if you like flying blind that’s cool.

too bad i didnt record it, it can be seen really well in tunisia, take italian airplane, open flaps and go as slow as you can, while looking at enemy infantry, go to an open field and you will see, nohting, as you will approach, all of a sudden soldiers appear, but at the point at which they start to render they are quite big already, its not a smooth transition, but a sudden one

then you are telling me pilots irl were first send into battle by foot, in order to get to know where to shoot when they will fly?

if i play planes, ill have to rely on teams marking the enemy, or approximate where the enemy is

No, they were given coordinated for where to fly, and then told what the target was. This information was typically gathered for you by people on the ground, so either memorizing chokes or relying on your team to tell you where the enemy is isn’t roo unrealistic. Furthermore, their targets typically were tanks, convoys of trucks, some annoying fortification and whatnot. They were rarely every deployed solely against infantry in the field, because that is a waste of fuel and munitions, even for the Americans. You can already see tanks very easily from the sky.

bro, if you cant see a person 1 km far from you, you might have eyesight issues

now, if that person is lying down and wearing a ghillie suit or something, that would be reasonable, but a standing personnel in an open field wearing standard issue army clothes should be easy enough to spot

Again, get in a small plane or helicopter, go 1000 ft up traveling 80 knots and tell me how many people you can see. Until you have done that, you have no right to tell me how much a person can actually see out of an aircraft.

and you did that?

Yes, I have done both.

where did you get aircraft

Nice try, I’m not doxing myself. All you need to know is I was an air cadet, and plenty of opportunities to do just such a thing were afforded to me.

What you expect? To see a 1.7/8 meter tall person 30 km away?.

300-500 meters is more than reasonable and actually good enough to counter.

And if we consider that most maps ain’t true open fields without vegetation or houses/props around the maps, 300 - 500 ish meters is way more than enough

would it be impossible to take binoculars with you?

I wonder how high he/she jumps.

Ok, you try using binoculars while flying a plane over a combat zone, see how well that works out.
