That’s a whole other topic. This is more about poor post pen dmg, not penetration.
To the point that even if you hit the ammo. Often it just turns yellow.
We literally all started out somehow. I didn’t have a good start either. But the live service kind of games expect you to spend dozens of hours, or rather hundreds of hours, in the game.
And I really have no idea why going down the route of hand-holding a careless or simply lazy players at the expense of players who are interested in the game and investing their time in improving themselves is the right way to go.
I just dont like this approach. And I am actively against it.
And the general disinterest of most players to improve and inform themselves about the mechanics/rules of the game. I don’t really buy that as a good argument.
That’s purely on them.
Like the lead indicator being active only while being prone.
But the funny thing is. Casuals would most likely never found out such perk exist in game.
My personal guess, but I really don’t think many of them pays attention to perks at all.
So it’s not like it’s useful for those who would need it.
Some people just can’t be helped. And I really don’t like it when people use such individuals to push changes to the game. Changes they couldn’t otherwise justify any other way.
Then you willingly put yourself at a disadvantage because you can’t use other (better) perks. If somebody is ok with that over learning, it’s their business.
You are willingly putting yourself at a disadvantage if you are too lazy to do any research on the stuff present in the game that are relevant to gameplay itself.
Like the historical value of vehicle armor.
You (a new player) play and have easy time using this funny indicator. Then you unlock your second AT soldier and no funny indicator. So you ask “where funny indicator?” And sooner or later you will learn about perks, for example from YouTube.
At least if your head contains something more than sawdust.
And you can learn it in the battle thanks to this perk. Not everybody has time and will to sit for 1h and try to learn and remember armour of 15 different vehicles.
This perk is not meant to replace your AT knowledge but to make it easier to learn.
Haha its kind of funny, of the mates i have left playing, only 1 builds his deck and perks…the other 3 wouldnt play at all if i didnt build their deck/soldiers/perks for them
In that case, he shouldn’t even begin to play a live service game that requires the investment of a huge amount of time.
And such game shouldn’t be tweaked according to players who aren’t its target audience.
Some games just aren’t for everyone.
This change would just devalue the time and knowledge of the people who are actually interested in the game and WW2 setting isn’t just some theme park for them.
Enlisted is made for /played by mostly noobs and casuals. And they need some training wheels, as we all can see in any average match by the lack of rallies.
Deal with it.
No. It is intended for players who are interested in the historical realities of World War II.
Just because many such people aren’t hardcore gamers doesn’t mean the game should go with approach of hand holding players at expense of gameplay aspect.
Because to know where to shoot at tank is quite important game knowledge rn.
We might as well be arguing to implement feature for casuals that makes soldier to automatically shoot at enemies who are in the direction the player is looking.
This hand-holding can go on forever.
Btw. They can always go play tanks to actively learn the stuff. :)))) or build an AT cannon.
There would be no better perk for BR 1-4. I suppose it would be for handling. And you only need recoil reduction for SF rifles on BR5. You don’t need recoil reduction for semi/BA rifles.
Slightly faster cycling for BA would never be a good tradeoff for losing this feature that guarantee you to pen tanks without any effort at all.
AT rifles are a waste of time. For newbies and experienced players alike (the exception being that Japanese auto cannon… Or hunting down planes in flex way).
Literally AT rifles are the worst option of all to destroy a tank. And even this perk wouldn’t help them much. So stop using them as argument.
I’d really like to see casual players figure out that they have to aim for ammo and crew members. And that it’s not enough to just penetrate a tank with AT rifle.
You two should fight for life and death. Who wins is right.
So they need a buff. But that’s another topic.
Edit
Actually I made a topic about this and you were against it and also you didn’t provide any solutions. Just like I wrote above.
So because AT rifles are bad I shouldn’t talk about them even though they are starter AT weapons and we are talking about helping new players. Makes sense.
So my perk won’t help them. You can stop being worried that a human potato will kill your tank without aiming.
Btw we have x-ray in battle that shows internal modules when you pen. Yet nobody wants that removed?
I am not allowed to interact with EVA clan members. Otherwise I could be punished.
It depends. Their uselessness reflect the way they were during WW2. Completely outdated concept with not much of use.
But if they are to be a truly usable AT option. Then they’d indeed definitely deserve to be buffed.
You said AT weapons, not AT rifles. So I assumed that this feature would affect the other handheld options that AT soldiers can use as well.
I came up with this with AT rifles in mind. But imo it would be weird to make it exclusive to them. Other weapons are unlocked quite quickly so ppl may struggle with those too.
Also fuck exceptions.
