Soviet have Ba-11 moscow have a cannon as a main armament, so your ask for only ligth armored cars dont have sense, ok add more of them but the cheap one? Really!
If you read the original post again, you can see what kind of vehicles i mean by ‘armored cars’.
The armored cars i’m suggesting are very light interwar vehicles produced in the late 1930s generally. The puma is an armored car, no doubt, but it’s not really what i mean when i say ‘armored car’. For my reasoning, the puma is essentially a light treadless tank.
And i say another time, add things wo actually beign killed by a simple rifle is usless wy i have to use thath if i have a tank add things like puma instead is better because are able to counter tank in speed and are sufficient strong to resist at the small wapons
all you seem to be saying is “why not use a tank?”
Well. Why not use a tank? Its not as if there’s no chance during the battle to do so. Armored cars are just to have another option to use to take or hold points, but you don’t necessarily need the armor and firepower of a tank. Armored cars are very fast and very agile, and generally smaller than tanks. They can fit between things, get places sooner, and run away faster than other tanks can.
They aren’t as strong as tanks, but they have their uses.
But add armored cars killed by a lmg is not the best way i approve add at least one armored car for faction but they have has similiar to a puma or ba-11 otherwise
Spawn
Doing 30 meter
Spot enemy tank
Fire at enemy tank
Main wapon dont do nothing at the tank
Behind a enemy guy with a lmg start firing at the ligth armored car
The ligth armored cars blow up
no armored car i’ve suggested can be killed by light machine guns. They’ll stop rifle rounds, but not heavy machine gun rounds or AT rounds. PzBs, PRTD-41s, M2 machineguns and Boys AT rifles will punch through, but MG34s, DTs, or BARs won’t cut it.
Ok i missread 7 posts ago sorry for the lmg things howewer add only a machinegun like main wapon is stupid they dont have chance vs a sniper tank
it’s no problem
in regards to tanks:
well, if you think back to when you’ve played, most of the time, there isn’t actually a tank around. We spend a lot of time and effort getting ready for the tank, but it’s only there sometimes.
So since a tank isn’t there all the time, and can’t be everywhere on the map at once, that’s where the armored car shines. It can’t fight a tank, but it’s not really supposed to, is it?
Why not add a different vehicle type that will not take a slot from tank, plane or infantry.
Slot that would be available for everyone.
Ok sure you not confuse

Armoured carEdit
Eland Mk7 armoured car
Main article: Armored car (military)
The armoured car is a wheeled, often lightly armoured, vehicle adapted as a fighting machine. Its earliest form consisted of a motorised ironside chassis fitted with firing ports. By World War I, this had evolved into a mobile fortress[18] equipped with command equipment, searchlights, and machine guns for self-defence. It was soon proposed that the requirements for the armament and layout of armoured cars be somewhat similar to those on naval craft, resulting in turreted vehicles. The first example carried a single revolving cupola with a Vickers gun; modern armoured cars may boast heavier armament – ranging from twin machine guns to large calibre cannon.
Some multi-axled wheeled fighting vehicles can be quite heavy, and superior to older or smaller tanks in terms of armour and armament. Others are often used in military marches and processions, or for the escorting of important figures. Under peacetime conditions, they form an essential part of most standing armies. Armoured car units can move without the assistance of transporters and cover great distances with fewer logistical problems than tracked vehicles.
During World War II, armoured cars were used for reconnaissance alongside scout cars. Their guns were suitable for some defence if they encountered enemy armoured vehicles, but they were not intended to engage enemy tanks. Armoured cars have since been used in the offensive role against tanks with varying degrees of success, most notably during the South African Border War, Toyota War, the Invasion of Kuwait, and other lower-intensity conflicts.

Scout carEdit
Main article: Scout car
A scout car is a military armored reconnaissance vehicle, capable of off-road mobility and often carrying mounted weapons such as machine guns for offensive capabilities and crew protection. They often only carry an operational crew aboard, which differentiates them from wheeled armored personnel carriers (APCs) and Infantry Mobility Vehicles (IMVs), but early scout cars, such as the open-topped US M3 Scout Car could carry a crew of seven. The term is often used synonymously with the more general term armored car, which also includes armored civilian vehicles. They are also differentiated by being designed and built for purpose, as opposed to improvised “technicals” which might serve in the same role.
Reconnaissance vehicleEdit
United States Army M1127 Reconnaissance Vehicle
Main article: Reconnaissance vehicle
A reconnaissance vehicle , also known as a scout vehicle , is a military vehicle used for forward reconnaissance. Both tracked and wheeled reconnaissance vehicles are in service. In some nations, light tanks such as the M551 Sheridan and AMX-13 are also used by scout platoons. Reconnaissance vehicles are usually designed with a low profile or small size and are lightly armoured, relying on speed and cover to escape detection. Their armament ranges from a medium machine gun to a large cannon. Modern examples are often fitted with ATGMs and a wide range of sensors.
Some armoured personnel carriers and infantry mobility vehicle, such as the M113, TPz Fuchs, and Cadillac Gage Commando double in the reconnaissance role.
that’s what i’ve been suggesting, yes. A “light vehicle” slot that you can throw all kinds of stuff into.
So a scout car not the armored car
the line between light armored cars and scout cars is pretty vague. The Sd.Kfz 231, this guy here
Is a light armored car. It was used for scouting and supporting infantry, which scout cars also do. I think you’re getting too hung up on the specific terms and not the general idea.
you say no cannon main gun so you want the scout car with the machinegun, armored car is to general because too many variant exist like the tank-destroyer version
In the most general terms, what i’m suggesting is “light armored, non-tracked vehicles with weapons no larger than 20mm guns”. Scout cars, armored cars, the exact word doesn’t really matter.
Words matter my friend especially during an discussion, saying light vehicle in general and then main weapon no larger than 20mm,
reduce the choice to a category precisely the reconnaissance car
Now if it took me 30 minutes to figure out what you mean by your armored car, imagine another user doesn’t have the patience to talk to you what they might mean
because you won’t listen.
that’s why it takes you so long to understand what the hell we are talking about.
seriously,
you’re not being very helpfull toward this dicussion.
despite the fact that patience is not relevant,
he quite explained the idea initially with all points.
yet, " but why? / tank is better " is the only thing you can come up with.
with this, we ain’t going further. let me tell you.
i thought i’d made it clear within the first few posts what i meant, when i explained what i meant and gave examples, but count me surprised nonetheless.
Sorry but really your past post dont explain nothing says only i want this
Lots of people like to do so and stick to their opinion like madman, like it is written in stone from the beginning of ages.
“Devs say it is a fighter not an attacker” … until you hang a 500kg bomb to it.
“Are Dragoons medium or heavy cavalry?”
“And then God said this is an scout car and this is an armored car…”
I could go on for ages but there is no definitive answer so +1 from me on AC idea…
