Anyone know how to destroy planes in the game?

I played a lot of this game today which I lost a lot because the team played the worst. Of course, I’m not a good player. But I think I’m not playing bad and selfish. But there are two games that I feel are unfair. Both games I got a good team. They don’t play well But they protect their stronghold as best they can. but in the middle of the game The entire team died at the hands of a single bomber. This plane dropped bombs until the end of the game. And every time it explodes It will kill my whole team. As a result, today my team lost 2 rounds, which personally I think would have been better if the plane hadn’t had this much destructive power. Because I think this game should not be played alone. Everyone has to play as a team. Tanks are good, but planes can destroy tanks in the end. But the plane is invincible and can kill an entire team of enemies with a few bombs. and every time I see the opposite side playing planes I lost almost every round. Does anyone have a way to get rid of the plane?

If there is any mistake, sorry.

Well, dogfighting in this game is pretty much non-existent. Airplanes are rarely used for their direct purpose. Only a small percentage of players are able to use them for the benefit of their team to achieve victory. But usually just throw bombs at enemy spawn locations, or kamikaze blowing tanks.

AA cannons are also more like meme weapons used against infantry more than often.

They need to buff canons and their damage vs planes, for sure.

I’ve found the best results in knocking down other aircraft is to fly as the Western Allies. Their planes are pretty decent at dishing damage, and the ones with .50’s and lots of ammo are very good.

As for the canons, I’m pretty decent with them, but then I came from years of hardcore flight sliming like IL2 and DCS. The ballistic dropoff of 20mm and above is really different from MG’s and I don’t think Enlisted is great at giving the player the feedback on that if they’re not used to it.

Guess the best advice I can give is get a LOT closer than you think you might need to be, especially with canons.

Game is hugely desynced when it comes to planes. Hit indicators mean nothing, Visual indicators mean nothing.

I dumped all 1000 20mm rounds (beaughfighter) into the back of a stuka flying straight and level not 50 meters in front of me. I could see the round detonating all over the planes (cockpit was my focus) but it didn’t do anything. Because what I was seeing is not what the game sees.

Other times if I ignore all instincts and just aim far ahead of the plane , receive not hit markers, the tracers pass harmless by, they all of a sudden get wrecked.

Yeah, definitely close the distance if you are going to get in a fighter for any plane. Shooting from anywhere other than point blank invites the possibility of server desync screwing you over, even American ones with the .50 cals. The most important part of dogfighting in this game probably throttle control, as you want to stay right on the enemy’s tail, but not overshoot or get left in the dust.

Yeah following directly behind a single engine plane and shooting its tail is almost completely useless.
Come from literally any other angle to do damage.

Deflection shots are just as desynced, wont make a difference unless the game says your rounds connected.

And if people are under the impression shooting from directly behind a plane would do no damage, I think you will find most fighter pilot accounts will strongly disagree with you.

if its a mechanic, its a hugeley poor one, more likely buggy and desynced.

But my whole team got killed by bombers. Have you never encountered a situation like me?

A lot of planes shooting behind can work, but some like stuka or il can have their entire tail section and parts of their wings go black and have full control

I’m guilty of getting 30+ kills per run with a plane, but when in doubt just use whatever gun your soldier has. A machine gun is the best bet, but smg and even bolt action can cripple a plane surprisingly quickly.

Really?

And does it do a lot of damage to shots when using a light machine gun?

Sorry, I’m usually the one guilty of doing the bombing. I don’t get too bothered by being bombed because, being a pilot myself I know they cant see jack all unless you are a tank or firing tracers off everywhere.

  • Dont run in big groups, peel off from the main group and spread out.

  • you will always hear a plane coming, Go prone in any uneven terrain you can the moment you hear bombs,

  • most maps theres soo much hard cover planes cant reach you in.

  • I would argue dont fire small arms at planes. it shows your position, not until they have passed over

In the end you dont need to kill a plane, you need to avoid the plane so they have no impact on the battle at hand.

The worst is when on the defensive side. and the whole team is in the zone But in the end, everyone died because of the plane. And after that they were quickly defeated by leaving. Can’t keep the zone in time
And another point is that the AI of this game is very stupid. Can’t find a place to hide if the plane comes Sometimes I tell them to hide in the house. But in the end they all died. Because the response of the AI in this game is very bad.

And if I was an infantryman Can I only hide?
I think what game developers should do is make better anti-aircraft guns.

They can do enough damage to take out control surfaces or the pilots, but it’s mainly the fact I often see people abandon planes when they get even a little damaged. This makes it easier than it should be to secure several plane kills without actually using a plane or AAA.

there are a few tips I can give you. its not so much about “hiding” its about positioning. You dont hide from a plane, you position yourself where they are irrelevant (and all maps have lots of these places)

You don’t have to be sitting on the cap to defend it. (this is the biggest one and it takes tact to do it properly.

  • you need to be between the enemy and the point you are defending (or have a killzone watching this area)

  • have full vision of the approaches to the cap

  • have hard cover, to avoid bombs etc

  • be close enough to get on the point should the need arise.

as for your stupid AI, yes they are stupid. But if you presss “K” you can order them individually and they will actually stand where you tell them too. put them in hard cover out of the way to use as spawn points.

But the ammunition of the anti-aircraft turret is very small and the turret rotates very slowly. making it difficult to shoot the plane So I thought if they increased the number of bullets but reduced the turret damage. It would have been nice to have real anti-aircraft functionality. Not just building to shoot infantry

No, I don’t mean AI. I mean my team team with real players After being bombed, there were only 2-3 survivors to defend zone, making the chances of losing very high.

haha unfortunately cant fix players. Just give advice that it is avoidable. Find some people to group up with, make it a better experience.

this game can be carried by 1-2 players playing smartly. I often Hold points solo by blocking cap points up with barb wire, tank traps and mines.

Even if you say there’s a K button, I’m a striker. not a quarterback causing the team to drop out of command very often ran towards me and after that the whole team died. I tried to find the safest place for them but in the end they all died because they tended to get out of control because I had to run too far.
