Anyone else use the 1903 USMC over the Garand?

I find myself using the 1903 a lot more due to the fact that most skirmishes I have in the pacific are mid to long range and was wondering if anyone else does likewise.

I use it too :person_raising_hand:

I already bought a bunch of Garands and I don’t have a ton of weapon orders, so I am using the Garands. I maxed them out though so they are basically one hit weapons now. However when I use the M1903 USMC I really like it.

It’s my favourite (allies) bolty, tied up with lee Enfield (cause lee Enfield has simply no opposition as best bolty).

The iron sight is just perfect. In Pacific I do prefer it over the Garand, probably because encounters are at a higher range.

Garand is great in Normandy thought.

It’s indeed an amazing bolt action.

But sadly I do play Alot more with garand on pacific.

It’s not sad: Garand is amazing as well. Loving it in Normandy and accepting no substitute. Using some in Pacific in my assaulters squads as well.

Biggest advantage atm… is that USMC Springs is very cheap to max stars :stuck_out_tongue: (I’m card poor)

Indeed they are.

Somehow I don’t feel the need to use m2 carbines on pacific. The garand is highly reliable for me there.

And ofc the usmc bolt action not only is cheap to upgrade, is amazing. Good sights, good reload speed, good aim speed
Buuut… Garand ping :relaxed:

the sights are so good that i would use it always over the garand.

I love it.

Imo Bolt-Action>Semi-Auto in the Pacific. They rule the battlefield.

Have more BA-kills than SMG-kills in this campaign. Says something…

1903 USMC will definitely be my main low-BR rifle for Allies.

Same reason I bought 50+ m93 mannlickers in Stalingrad, that I’ve bought the same amount of USMC Springs in Pacific. Main battle rifle! (if there’s such a thing)

There is.

Only my Soviets now need 50 rifles. I still haven’t decided if I want to go with the Winchester, the regular Mosin or the Mosin starter carbine (I like it’s cycle speed)…

I don’t play Pacific a lot, but on Tunisia I skipped right over the semi autos, way too unreliable, spread, recoil, damage, didn’t suit me a lot, so Enfield Mk4 it is.

However, I do use the AVS because it is a solid semi auto/select fire and recently had the opportunity to take a Gewehr 41 on the ground and DAMN I loved it, once the merge comes and I start grinding axis I sure will use it.

Probably my favorite bolt action in the game at the moment. IDK why the other version sucks so much, I usually prefer an open site.

I probably go with the Mosin M91/30. Love it. Super accurate with it even tho it’s RoF is a bit slow.

Otherwise the starting carbine from Stalingrad with bayonet. Can’t recall what version that is, right now.

Lee-Enfield is probably the best BA in game.

But remember it’s probably not low-BR

I hesitate as well… I mean the regular Mosin is iconic in it’s own right, and I kinda like the sound it makes when it fires. The Winchester is better than all of those… But it’s a lend lease (or just civilian surplus?) rifle, not very Red army like. Starter Mosin has great cycle speed, but really bad accuracy (it’s ok if max star thought)…

mmmh. I guess I’ll buy 1/3 of all 3 :stuck_out_tongue:

USMC springfield is beautiful.

My prefered allied rifle (bolty) behind SMLE mk III.

I ended up using alot more garands when I leveled Pacific as I leveled through the Peak AXIS period and simply needed to shoot alot more guys at a time.

I usually like the mosin (games in general)…but i used it after i mastered the kar98 and just dont like it. The slower cycle speed just doesnt match the flow i developed with kar98.

I have to use winchester lol

I wish the 1903 had the same firing sound as it did in HnG
