That wouldn’t be a bad idea, then if DF buffed the FNAB 43 to 600 base and 690 maxed it would closely mirror the performance stats of the PPS 42.

I play pretty much all factions, but mostly the Allies, Germans and Soviets, so it wouldn’t bother me if DF dropped the Thompson to level three. But since level four is all but dead, DF really should just disband it entirely IMOP and send it’s weapons either up a level or down a level.
Same, when I solo I play mostly German and Soviet. But when I’m playing with my friend group we play a few of each faction. And so far I’ve had genuine fun in br3 Japan with the variety of guns they have at 2 and 3. If only the console only side of the Japanese playerbase wasn’t so desolate, then it’d be perfect.
Really depends on each gun.

In your 5th post of the thread that was too long to read after a lazy original post.
I like variety and welcome more weapons but I fail to see how Soviet BR2-3 SMG’s is an area that dev’s should be spending resources right now. It’s literally a strength for Soviets.
That I can understand but i feel if you’re going into a post with a counterpoint, you should be willing to go as great of a length as to read the other person’s replies. Not matter how lengthy they are.
All the full time semi auto’s in level four should just be sent to level three since everything in level five is fully auto, and the MG’s and SMG’s in level four should be a case by case, either sending them up or down, I guess depending on what ever formula DF would choose to decide. If we had a 0/0 MM system, then I would be fine leaving it alone, but I doubt DF is going to do that, so for me, many level four guns go to waste.
For example, the now level three Allies level three Johnson semi auto I never used when it was at level four, simply because I would more then likely end up in a level five match and I would much rather use a T-20 in level five then the Johnson.
Because in the larger comment, I was rather comparing the br2 and 3 smg’s of both the axis countries. And I mentioned Japan on the count of when/if Manchuria is getting added to the game

I’ll give you that - as thread author your follow up posts should be read. I’m just struck by how tone deaf it is that after getting Urugan, there’s thirst for BR3 SMG. When the BR3 SMG is already clearly busted and Soviets have 3 BR2 SMG’s that are also basically busted and totally functional at BR3 (and above).
It’s the sad reality of the majority of these br4 weapons. That’s why I was saying in my other post on the BR queues to make 4 by itself and then 5 a whole different queue as well. That way br4 had a place of its own as well as br5 being by itself

or move it to BR3 and close this topic?

Though I still think the m21/28 should be in 3 with the m1928, I agree that the urugan smg has no business in being in br2. It needs to be br3 as matter fact it’s even better then the pps43.
Well, since DF is not into reality, the MP40 should just be buffed to a 900 rate of fire IMOP. And seeing that I find absolutely no evidence that any MP40 was every buffed anywhere close to those numbers, by DF standards it should be perfectly doable.
No, MP40 and PPS did fire slowly and thus should also in the game.
