Only idea I have and still strongly support is downtiering the lend leased Thompson (m21/28) to 3 since it shares most of its stats with the m1928a1 Thompson. But that’s all I could think of.

Just put Uragan and PPS-43 at BR3. And nerf PPS-42 to 500rpm (600rpm fully upgraded). M21/28 could also be downtiered as nobody plays it at BR4.

I’m thinking of a future where the Russians are going to play against the Japanese. With your suggestion, the Soviets will be very weak against the Japanese BR2. Considering that all countries except Germany have decent SMGs in BR2, it’s better to buff the Germans. Weakening the Soviets is not a good option.

Agreed if there’s no other options for br3 Russia. Which seems to be shaping up to where we’d have no choice but to downtier the m21/28 and put it in the TT.

Shouldn’t be that hard for the devs, considering it’s already a tech tree weapon for the US and it was never a battle pass or premium weapon. There literally is no reason (and this goes for any campaign weapon) why the removed them. It robs us who haven’t been there pre-merge from awesome weapons.
yeah… just move any one of the BR2 SMG’s up to 3 to satisfy your need for binning. They’re all more than capable.
Doesn’t really solve the issue as the closest thing to what fits into br3 is the uragan smg perhaps. Besides, like I’ve said the m1928a1 and the m21/28 have the same stats. All there really is for a difference is the sights

every BR2 SMG for USSR is fully capable of being a BR3 SMG (or higher). So run those.
If Federov were suddenly BR2, would you demand a new BR5 assault rifle?

Ok and same can be said about the Japanese smg’s in br2. As you already have an smg with a 50 round capacity and then the type 2a smg which has the same damage profile and rof as the pps-42 and even less recoil than the pps-42(27 vertical) and the type 2a has only 10 vertical. And even at br1 the Japanese compared to the Russians are in good shape as Japan has 2 smg’s (one of them has a bayonet) as Russia has only one smg and one shotgun.
Speaking of which, going back to Germany, br 1 has 3 smg’s and a shotgun. And if you want to make a br2 smg that’s up to par with the pps’s ,then like some of the users insisted, buff the Fnab so it has its IRL fire rate. And even until then, Germany has 8 br2 smgs excluding the kp-26 and mp35 which makes 10. And then with br3, you have the m38a, zk383,vmp 1926, Erma emp,mp35/1. At br3, Germany has an abnormal amount of solid selections while Russia has only the ppSh box to use at br3. Pretty boring. So yeah I think Russia can use the m21/28 as a second br3 smg. After all, Russia’s gonna need it to fight Japan whenever Manchuria comes out.

Not reading that. You can’t possibly have a valid point since you start talking about Japan.
You said every br2 smg Russia has is capable of being br3, so I was comparing smg’s of the same tier and what both axis countries had to counter the ppSh. Also how can you judge how valid someone’s point is when you refuse to read what they have to say?
Soviets have the best BR2 SMG’s and the best BR3 SMG I’m fairly sure.
That’s why this topic seems strange. Variety is nice, but literally any of the Soviet BR2 SMG’s is fine at BR3 so that’s why simply moving one up is the most logical answer to your question.
As said, if they buff the FNAB to have its real life rof being 800, it’d make a solid br2 smg that’d be able to contest the pps43.

This could be somewhat remedied if DF reworked the FNAB 43 to it’s more accurate ROF somewhere between 600-837, but I don’t see DF doing it. Setting it at a base of 600 and maxed at 690 would make it an equal to the PPS 42.
As far as dropping the Soviet Thompson to level three, do they actually need it? They already dropped the Erma EMP44 from level four to level three. However, IMOP level four should just be abolished since it has zero significance, and the weapons should either be moved to level five or level three, and level five should be shielded into it’s own separate stand alone BR level. However, DF never listens to me no matter how much money I spend 
, my suggestions are always DOA.
Put uragan and PPS-43 to BR3
And add Korovin smg to BR2

Not important. It is not and it shouldn’t be TT weapon.
