downvote, Explosion pack is too powerful anyway, if we removed EPs, made infantry actually shoot, or allowed certain vehicle types or all vehicle types to capture, we might actually get tanks to push up.
Depending on the map and situation, I sometimes play my tank inside the cap zone or close to it; however, most of the time I’m using my tank at range—where it belongs. Bring a tank too close to the cap zone (and the enemy) and it’s going to get blown up—which means wasted time in developing your position. Tanks don’t belong in the cap zone, they should be outside the cap zone supporting the infantry who are capping—most of the time, but not in every situation.
I do agree with you that explosion packs are too powerful! So giltburrito’s recommendation to introduce various antitank grenades is a good idea, especially if it would take multiple grenades taking out multiple tank systems to bring down a tank—especially the heavies. It’s far too easy to kill tanks in this game.
explosion packs were nerfed, they are now hit or miss

This is just bad game design: Like flipping a coin whether a weapon will work or not. Imagine pulling the trigger on your gun and 50% of the time it didn’t work—kind of lame.
Not when I use them, they hit 100% of the time for me.
In my opinion we should have these but they should be a retexture of the explosion pack.
All the grenades in the game are all statistically the same, so why not make these at grenades statistically the same.
I don’t think explosive packs should be the go-to tank killer. I think they should primarily be used against fortifications. I think at best they should be able to damage/ disable parts.

Cool suggestion anti tank grenades are needed!

its a combined arms game, not world of tanks or carmagedon with infantry targets
I think these would be really cool to see in the game if they adjusted how many explosive packs a squad can take. Or even to use said AT grenades a something only anti tank soldiers can use or even as a sort of event item.

K, but idk, aren’t some tank types designed to push up along with infantry?
not that close, tanks are mobile gun platforms
most points have buildings you find the tank that can go through windows and doors or upstairs than we can talk
so maybe purely open points, but taking a point means securing it, then holding it
