Ampulomets for the Specialists!

This is a solid idea. I now use MG squads because of the option to build HMG emplacements. Engineer squads are just so… meh.

I just saw the upcoming change that’s going to bring Ampulomets launchers to Berlin and Moscow. Not gonna lie, I’m fine with this being added to Moscow, but Berlin? The launcher was already obsolete a year after it was made in 1941. No way this thing was being used by either side during the Battle of Berlin.

I like that the different squads are getting unique structures, but I now have 2 questions @1942786:

  1. Will this be available across all campaigns?

  2. With each squad gradually getting their own unique structures, the engineer specific squads seem to be getting phased out with the exception of AA guns (for now). Have the developers considered buffing these squads with stronger variants of the basic structures? This way they can remain superior in terms of defensive capabilities, which will allow them to counter the strong structures that are coming in with other squads?

  • Examples like concrete filled sandbags, barbwire that flattens rather than is outright destroyed like in Berlin campaign, Czech hedgehogs wrapped in wire or lines of them rather than one on its own. (Having them as lines of 3 with even spacing would be great to ensure their usage outdoors rather than indoors, and then making them harder to destroy would be balanced.)
