I don’t want to be rude or anything like that but :
- On War Thunder forum, players of US are always complaining like cry babies : “Germany is OP”
- On Enlisted forum, palyers of US are always complaining like cry babies… “Germany is OP”
So, what is the matter ? It’s that most think a game with a minimum of realism should be balanced the same way as an arcade shooter. “Everything should be the same, equal power”
What’s the point to play a WW2 “realistic” game with various equippments from real belligerents if you don’t want to apply WW2 irl tactics to answer the enemy threats…
It’s not Battlefield or any of these fake ww2 games.
Also, for sure we don’t want the game to be unbalanced, and in fact he’s not that unbalanced, the actual br system helps to give each team the same chances of winning,
it mitigate the gaps between nations.
It’s not a game with only infantry units, we also have vehicules and planes, it’s very good.
From my experience, each nations have some specializations →
Germany = Big Kitties and good AT weapons
US = Best CAS and Good infantry overall (BR2-3, I really like their weapons )
Soviet = Great infantry (assaulters and paras seems to be very effective)
On the battlefield, it is not :
- Our tanks equal to theirs, infantry units equal to theirs, our planes equal to theirs.
No, it’s more like :
- Enemies have THIS, we have THAT to counter. They counter it with THESE, we answer with THOSE etc
It makes it even more authentic !
I remember raging because I was getting killed by bombs or by a tank as an infantryman, I was like “Why is it in the game ?” I then realize : “It’s so realistic, IRL all those weapons were used to counter the pros and cons of nations doctrines.”
From my humble point of view, matches really depends on the skills of each players, the game has flaws for sure but not that hard about balance (not as the op tries to show).
So I understand that sherman should be brIV and then, pershing brV : it’s fair.
But don’t complain about the equippments :
A KT should not need to flank to destroy a tank, it’s heavy and not adequate to do so.
American tanks may be “mediocre” as irl, flanking maneuvers and coordinationg ground and air force are very adequate to deal with opponent forces.
Enlisted has a lot to do to become excellent, but it has the basis : Teams can use their strengths to take the advantage.
