You mean you’re closing the leaderboards?
Do you always start in 10th place?

@Adamnpee your catchphrase, please :grin:

For how long have you played the game?

literally speaking? skill issue. you lack the skill to be better than other players.

or bots. you’re also probably worse than bots if you consistently getting 10th spot in maps like tunisia axis and whatever other faction with few if any player.

consider learning how to play better, or if you just… fucking sucks at shooting shit fastly, play as a wacky engineer squad who just goes around and building rally point, ammo box, and other stuff. a sandbag at the right place, a barbed wire at the right time, a goddamn hedgehog on the right road? that will tilt your enemy a lot.

oh yeah, you also get points if people use your rally point and ammo box. you also get points if your allies doesn’t get shot because of your sandbag.
sadly barbed wire getting enemy stuck doesn’t seem to give you point.

It does. Checked in 1v1 private lobby

For every bit of HP that Barbed Wire drains from an enemy, you get points.

i’m not… entirely sure what seems to be the problem.

are you complaining of not getting many kills and you always end up in the bottom of the leaderboard?

well, that could be because of you being inexperienced. which, it’s not a bad thing. you might be just new. everyone started from somewhere.

as i always say, practice creates masters.

it’s just about getting used to the controls and have a bit of aim. also having knowledge about the game ( map rotations, objective, and usually common sense ) can help you to get better scores.

after all, there will always be someone better than us. no shame in admitting that.

so, to get concrete, and " real ", i highly suggest you to check the official enlisted channels, they might release some useful " guides ", such as:

and i guess you can find some guides online about how to learn stuff, but honestly, i can’t reccomend a specific video from content creators because i genually despise half of the content creators that we have. they don’t feel genuine outside a few.

so, i’ll just try my best with advises and useful tips as a beginner.

  • play custom matches against bots
go in the event tab, select a map, select a faction and just play.

granted, AIs are not like players. they are generally sloppier and more sluggies. but, it’s a great start for you to get the feeling against your enemies ( weapon sounds, noises ) and above all, it will help you to slighlty increase your reflexes.
( keep in mind you are not gonna get many xps unfortunately. but it’s still helpful to get the feelings of your guns on living targets as well )

then, when you’ll feel confident and what not, i’d suggest you to wait for the new update as you’ll face people that will roughly have your same equipment. which doesn’t necessarely means they are gonna be on par of skills to you, but it will greatly improve your experience as you will not face veterans with latter gears while you are still with starter rifles and what not.

after the new update you’ll might want to consider the pvp aspect. which, if you are still not confident in your shooting capabilities, just build rallies points. those are your safest bets. as you gain points and you help greatly your team.

but, you kinda need to be smart about your placements. such as, try to put rally points near flanks of the objective instead of directly in front of the objective to make your opponents jobs easier to sweap and destroy it. so, the rule of thumb for rallies points, usually are around the flanks, and well hidden inside houses / bushes / ditches or generally where there is cover. you might want to avoid open areas ( as you get easily spotted and your rally gets destroyed quickly ) and if you are going to place rally points inside houses, make it sure to put it in the base floor. otherwise if you put it in a first/second/third floor, most of the time you will just make your allies get slowed down because of AI being slow going down stairs and what not. above all, DO NOT. and i reapeat, DO NOT place rallies on attics. bots will get stuck up there and will never get down. a huge loss of time and manpower needed eslewhere. as unfortunately bots do not know how to drop from attics.

then, another part that i feel like it’s important, is how to defend and attack.

i’ll start with the attacking part.

there isn’t a " valid " strats, but there are a few that mostly works depending on many factors. each useful in their own way. and i came up with 3 tactics that i usually use.

1 ) the sweaper.
the sweaper tatcitc is where you usually flank, get behind the enemy lines, clear enemies rally points and hold as much as you can. the general idea, is to attacking the defenders from the side, push a bit forward and clear the enemies ( and most important, their rallies ) to eventually hold that position and try to slow the defenders from trying to reinforce the point. it’s also very usefull if you can manage to destroy tanks and what not.

which allows you to thin the defenders numbers when they try to defend and buy some time to your ally to push and capture the objective.

2 ) zerg
the second tactic, it’s the zerg.
the zerg is just straight up charge for the point using flanks as well ( as you can survive a bit longer than just going in a straight line ) and try to clear the point of enemies by your self while trying to keep the defenders our of the objective.
this might sound dumb, but it’s mostly effective when executed properly. and to increase the chances of success, place some rally points near the objective if you have time. but generally, less breaks you give to the enemy, the better will be. as if you waste too much time, you are just going to give your enemy enough time to react and reorganize.
something that you want to avoid. but generally, if you rush the enemies in numbers and capture the point, that’s about it.

and lastly, a less successful task yet still worthly, work as a supporter.
on top of building and securing your rally points, you might also want to deal against tanks airplanes and generally be a nuissance with every tool you have.

this mostly applies with vehicles. try to support your ally, but don’t sit on a rock and just farm some superficial and non essential kills on a rock. or throw your tank like a brick on the point and not help your team by dealing with enemies vehicles/airplanes and nothing of that by just dying.

if you are a defender, just to the same thing you do as an attacker.
as you do not really have to worry about deaths unlike attackers.

which means, you can either try to defend the point ( though, it will most likely get spammed with artillery and grenades, which it’s less safe, but you can still hold the enemies off with bardbwires, amunition boxes, sandbags, machineguns emplacements and what not. or you can try to set up and hold some murder spots where you’ll be hinding in some houses or spots near the objective towards the enemies and slow them down while killing the most you can.

or, you just assault the enemies towards the red arrow on your minimap ( which it’s their spawn ). ( no. i’m not suggesting to spawn camp the enemy. just attack them as they try to appreach your objective that you must defend )

as you’ll get familiar with maps, tactics and what not, you’ll be gaining some xps. which i highly suggest you to invest into the blue tech tree ( as it will help you to level up faster your squad and gain more soldiers and allow more classes into your squads ) then the red tech trees ( if you want to improve your soldiers and allow them to carry secondaries, backpacks and gain more perks )

which, those two alone are pretty important. as again, the blue techtree allows you to have more classes on your preferences and have larger squads with more men to use.

and the red tech tree allows you to upgrade your soldiers. upgrading your soldier means having the ability to have more perks ( through stars ) which it’s also called veterancy and makes your AI significalty better depending how many stars they have, while also allowing you to have more equipment to use in your battles ( such as more bullets with the ammo pouches, or more grenades with the grenades pouches or even more medkits with the backpacks )

and lastly, the yellow tech tree. i only suggest it for weapons that you use alot and you like. i wouldn’t reccomend you wasting time in stuff that you are not interested. you will be always be able to unlock them by using other squads ( within the new update. )

which at this point, i suggest you to make some stable squads with actual veterans and fully upgraded squads.
as it will grant you to use those solid squad for quite some time and eventually upgrade them when you’ll have more silvers.

then, as a semi last part, here are a few tips that are mostly generic but super helpful ( at lest, those were for me )

don’t be afraid to charge.
despite this game looking incredible, it’s not arma, nor PS or HLL. it’s much, much more arcady. therefore, your primal goal is always to attack your opponents and deal with the objective. ( whether you’re an attacker or a defender ). because the more kills you do, the more xps you get. it’s just a cycle.

don’t be afraid to die.
for the same reason as explained before, dying is part of the game. and unironically, the more you cycle with squads, the more xps you will also get.

be the changing tides of your own battle.
enlisted is a free to play. you’ll find all sort of players. some that are goods, and others that are not. meaning, you can’t always relay on your teammates since you are not in a call with them. therefore, if an airplane is bothering you, try to destroy that plane by your self.
no one else is placing rallies points? place one your self.

don’t be afraid to lose.
it’s part of the game.

do not cap, or play slowly.
again, this is not a tactical game. you can use snipers, but don’t sit behind and pick some superficial target. snipers are usually good to pick out enemy engies, tankers commander / crew when they are outside or having hatches opens. but you should generally stick to the point and play mostly close quarter.

one last thing that i suggest is, go to the official discord and look for friends/group.
as you will be able to coordinate a bit better and most likely have higher chances of winning as you can coordinate with other people.

and that’s about it.

additionally, if you have some bucks to spare, i’d reccomend you to get the battlepass and if you can, premium. those will slighlty help you better to get more slots for squad, more goodies ( from the bp ) and more xps for each battle you do.

it’s not necessarily an heavy grindy game ( yet ) but it will help you to achieve more quipment than you would normally do. especially if you aren’t that great in matches. which again, it’s fine being bad, we all were at some point.

it just take practice to improve.

i hope this wall of text was useful.
not entirely sure if you are a beginner or not. but i hoped it helped.

@ErikaKalkbrenner posted exellent advice to grasp the game better.

I’ll just add a much more simple one: play to have fun. You’re not very good and ending last in the leaderboards? Ok fine… But do you have fun while you play?

Because it’s the only thing that truly matters. Maybe you’re simply someone more relaxed, which is entirely fine (and probably more sane than the rest).

So… Don’t worry too much about leaderboards. Don’t even look at it. It’s not even cool or impressive having good stats in a casual fps video game (one could even argue it’s no life geek, which isn’t really praiseworthy…) Just play for yourself.

Non existent like his gameplay obviously.

because they use a points system, so you have to score more points if you want to finish higher than 10th place, if you want to finish 9th, you have to get more points than ninth place and so on…

if you only want to have fun, don’t worry about the points system, just play for fun, doesn’t matter where you finish on the scoreboard, you don’t even have to look at the scoreboard, just ignore it and play for fun

but if you want to earn a lot of points to unlock stuff, then you are forced to earn as many points as possible to unlock those things

the question beckons, are you prepared and willing to become a sweatlord tryhard?

If your score is right up there with say the top 5 and you are ending up in tenth place on the scoreboard, all the time, then there is some kind off crazy glitching going on. But if your score is just worthy of tenth then yes you do have a skill problem :upside_down_face:
