Thats just a side effect of casual gaming. Has to be open for all to experience. And for some that are legit trying to learn they need flying time to practice. Everyone starts off bad.
Sure its annoying having a newbie not hit anything when i could be using it, but chances are a good pilot player is probably just a good player in general. As the battle is won on the ground, that player being on the ground isnt a bad thing.
Suicide bomber is no different that someone who just runs there squad into the meat grinder. All they do is throw tickets
I love flying and wrecking ground forces, but i only do it if my team are good enough without me on the ground, or they are so bad it doesnt matter where I am.
You can literally tag a kamikaze plane with a pistol and get free 380 or more score
Although I did see a GIGACHAD in my game once that literally had 3 plane slots and all they did was to cycle through them as fast as they could - spawn, aim for the objective and throttle the fuck up, repeat
I want to see airfields, simply because a stray bullet hitting a radiator would no longer mean inevitable doom. Teammates might be more upset about that. Taking off and landing for each reload would be annoying and stupid though.
I honestly don’t see a problem with aircraft (maybe because I AM THE PROBLEM?), but no matter how well you fly, often a single AA gunner will either shoot you down or force you to fly evasively, making indiscriminate murder harder.
I am not sure why people who have fun should suffer because opposing team REFUSES to use any of the tools at their disposal.
In Pacific about 90% of M13 drivers never even try to shoot at me as I strafe them with cannons (because I am bored out of my mind). Most people seemingly do not have a single engineer, nevermind an actual squad.
I’d love for everyone to get an extra, free, fighter slot - but often people do have aircraft and they refuse to bring them out after being slapped once or twice (even if they are defenders and they have infinite tickets)
Stop complaining about aircraft, build an AA gun that isn’t in the middle of the most open and barren and flat piece of land you could find, dont be a complete slave to the circle and make it rain wrecks
I think planes are in a decent place too. But that’s not going to stop them from getting chopped. And they are clearly on the chopping block.
Id rather get ahead of it and offer alternative ideas before the axe falls. (on the offchance something thrown, sticks)
In my suggest, Only the heaviest payload planes have to airfield spawn (p47, ju188 etc etc). So you still have a choice to bring small payloads in the same capacity as now.
And after many years of warthunder, of having to land to reload after every drop, Its not that bad.
I mean, if the devmans are dumb enough, they can axe whatever the hell they want, I’m already half burned out from dogshit quality of matches due to pop being smeared out across 6 campaigns. And the fact they’ve ruined Moscow by power creeping gear to a stupid extent.
Half of the planes rn are only usable because you can work up energy with smart flying in case of having to fight enemy aircraft. If you had to zero it out after each run I will literally quit the game. The P-47 will literally take few minutes and half burn out it’s engine before it reaches a usable altitude. Also, Enlisted is not War Thunder. In Enlisted it takes 10s to respawn and you can literally respawn 40 to 60 meters away from the objective. And often one side has literally infinite tickets. Against good defending team there is NO amount of carpet bombing that can put a dent in that. Even if you do several runs per each rearm by the time you reload everyone will be back on the point.
The position should be “fuck your nerfs”, buff other things. Make sure each squad has an engineer slot by default. Engineers should be available from level 1. Add more free squad slots. Force people to use at least one engineering squad in their lineup. Add AA vehicle/Fighter limited slot for everyone.
People bring zero AT, zero AA (the fact that AA guns start with like 4 mags is dumb as hell though), zero engineers and then bitch they have no ammo, that planes kill them, that they have to run far because there is no rallies, that tanks are OP.
The amount of people who hit the ground after seeing bombs drop near them is basically zero. If you hear a plane coming or bombs whistling, lie down, there is a massive chance nothing will happen to you. And bots seem to go prone with you, so most of them will survive too.
No, it is the developers will get what they are given. I do not have to play this game nor spend money on it.
I’ve spent money on Scammingrad, bought enough gold to roll over battle passes and got a year of premium during christmas sale. I’ve spent 38d of battle time. I liked the game (actually one of my most favourite games), but it has been in a downward spiral recently. It’s been hard for me to have fun playing, often skipping several days between those annoying FOMO events.
Lots of those issues were obvious AND they were pointed out at the time, yet they insisted on doubling down. If they continue with their bad decision making and insist on squeezing fun out of the game I will simply leave.
I’m not disagreeing with how you feel or your assessment, Like I said I think planes are in a good spot. And I prefer alot of the old mechanics that have been phased out (as you do) and played as many battles.
I’m just under no illusion that I hold any power, and being a dick about it has the opposite effect. Sounds like they already got their money from you and me. As having been a Sole Trader myself its nice to not have to take every job requested (or customer) cos there is plenty of others/choice. Shitty clients get refused straight up or are the first to get cut for repeat business, feels good and don’t even notice. (don’t mistake this with not looking after your customers)
yeah. thats what i said
There needs to be a “certification” scenario that needs to be passed before players are allowed to use aircraft. If they are unable to pass it, they should be prompted to use the range. This solves the issue without hurting other players experiences within active lobbies.

Lol i find that amusing cos im the elitist jerk type that would say:
If you cant use the basics to a good standard, you cant have the good stuff. You must be worthy.
That goes down real well lol (that and there would be jack all players)
The thing is though that aircraft hold an amount of power that no ground unit or tank can ultimately compare with. A good attack plane pilot can very often make the difference between a win and a loss.
… So can the lack of an at least decent one.
I honestly don’t think that restricting aircraft via a certification system would ultimately hurt the number of players much at all. After all, the only ones that likely wouldn’t be able to pass it would be the ones running their planes into the ground anyways. It just keeps them on the ground.
I was refering to my broad spectrum view, not just planes.
In my book, planes only give you a clutch if the ground game (where it counts) is struggling, if not they merely spectate.
I think what you mean is its not important because its powerful, but has to be used powerfully to be important, cos if you dont, you are the most irrelevant thing in the game. (Irrelevant to the objective, therefore team and effectively give your team a numbers disadvantage)
Even a lowly rifleman can be shit/BOT and still get on point and draw fire
