Allow us to dig out our tanks!

Recently had a game where my PZIIIJ/1 got stuck quite severely in a 500 or a 250kg bomb crater.

I was stuck for around 5 minutes.

At the time i tought if i would have had a shovel, i would have been able to get myself unstuck

But unfortunately that is not the case, since the game doesnt allow you to dig near tanks

Please change that, would actually give a good use for shovels for tankers - to get them unstuck

well it could be worked other way around… imagine tank camping and it suddenly gets stuck in a trench…

Well that’s sad…

When shovels were first realeased, I remember some smart and crafty trolls made fun by digging holes around big cats and jumbos, sinking them as they went.

Well… there’s still the big metal tank traps I suppose…

i love to troll tanks with tank traps… build one in front and one in back and watch them squirm…

Exactly!

When shovels were first released, it was possible to dig UNDER tanks, thus slowly sinking them. It was hilarious, and pure tasteful trolling.

Dunno why they removed this…

Nearly useless cause most of tanks can be pen in turret … why spend so much effort if u cant move and still can be pen …

We may add a simple toggle button “allow/disallow diging near the tank” in the pie menu.

Sure, most people won’t even notice it’s existance but at least you will have an option (especially when playing with friends).

I once tried to rescue a friendly stuck tank in a crater - I faced the same problem as the OP.
In the end, teammate abandoned the tank and went to the objective on foot.
We lost the battle - partially, because I was pulling an AT gun with me almost the whole time.

I hope that the tank drag function can be implemented, or the jack props can be used to save them from pits or trenches
