My nephew (whos very knowledgeable on WWII) told me the “squad” emblems for the premium German tanks closely resembles that of the an SS Panzer division symbol. So essentially they’re actually SS Panzer division, itjust doesn’t say SS in game because we know darkflow doesn’t wanna truly portray the German side during WWII.

We already know… if you look well, they’re the only guys coming outfitted with the good looking green pea uniforms. I wish some troops in Berlin would REGAIN those uniforms, they were removed, sadly.

Even the numbers are the SS div are the historical correct. They are just missing the SS part and their names. For example the Stug i believe is the SS hohenstaufen. Which is ok i guess since SS is banned in some countries
I don’t know why ss are banned from history in some countries. It’s a “head in the sand” behavior. Instead countries who actually fought them should show pride in that, as those guys were fearsome opponents and the best equipped ones.
On a similar note, we have the NKVD for Moscow Russia and frankly those were “Russian ss” 
yet they are not banned…
History is written by the victors.

On a general note, i dont mind SS units and i personally wanted them to be in game but DF needs to comply with legislation in countries banning them

Yeah I’m kinda sad about legislation of countries fearful of history. I hate censorship of ANY kind with such passion…
What I meant by NKVD being alike ss was mainly that those guys were pretty scum too, helping purge the population of dissidents and making many, many ppl “disappear”…

Well, they are not directly called NKVD either. We know that they are from this unit because of their characteristic uniforms, exactly like with premium SS squads.

Yes, I’m mostly sad they REMOVED regular ss uniforms from free ss squads in Berlin. Those were perfect camouflage in that setting and looks quite fearsome. If you’re lucky you can still see some bots outfitted with those, if it’s a bot lmg squad. Player squads got other uniforms.

I have to both agree and disagree here with you.
From the accuracy standpoint the way they implemented them at first was not right - squads wearing those weren’t SS, so they would not have such camo. Current uniforms are more accurate in that way - although still look wierd imo when they are not mixed with standard Feldgrau and when there is no equipment on soldiers.
But of course I want to have them back someday because I love how those early German camos look. Having no option to choose them is truly sad.

They cant. Russian law prohibits that, German too. Although that is what you call ironic when the main squad of moscow allies are NKVD

Engineers still have SS camo. As I remember, only camo scheme approver by WH and LW was Splittertarn. And second one (but not officialy approved) was mimetico (aka M29).
They are different.NKVD not was more cruelly than same organizations in west states.
NKVD make very difference work(board guard,politic propaganda(like and was every same organization in the world), and etc)
They same only in one,both was elite soldiers.

I’m just saying they were far from good guys, and would probably be the ones banned from history if the victors of ww2 were germans, for example. (Not that those nazis fools ever had any chance of succeeding )

Müncheberg is the Panther A (not sure if SS but wikipedia states: “The majority of the division’s staff and panzer troops were drawn from the [103rd SS Heavy Panzer Battalion]”)
Tunisia and Moscow are non SS tank divisions.

NKVD are was cool and good guys.They always fight to end.Also NKVD was anti spyes organisation.But was and stupid/bad and etc people and stupid situation and case with clear people who get punishment for nothing,but same always can be in anywhere.

But seriously, this is done because people are very… vulnerable. Well, do not explain to people that the SS is not only concentration camps, but also tank divisions and infantry units… therefore, they hide them as best they can)
