Advice for getting rid of P47s and other planes

Your team will almost never be focused on taking any planes down, and almost never have any fighters. I know the bombers are good, but take a fighter over it if you are having a hard time with them.some of the planes I reccomend are the late BF109s (G10, G14, K4).the Me410s can do quite a bit of damage as well, but the turn time isn’t as good as the fighters, as it is a bomber. the FW variants like the A8 and D12(this one is technically a bomber but it’s a focke wulf with a 250kg and 4 50kg bombs and a few less cannons, so it’s up to you). And even lower teir planes can preform well, like the BF109 G6, F1 and F2,E7 U2 and they all have at least a 20mm cannon and good turn speed. the Fiat G.55,IAR 81C,and the earlier FW variants are also great fighters that can preform adequately against some of the high tier enemy planes, just don’t expect to always win fights in those planes.another great option is the JU87 D5, which has 2x 20mm cannons and a 250kg + 2 50kg payload, and with a good for bomber turn time you can dogfight enemy planes fairly well with your high damage output. I do not reccomend using lower teir fighters in BR5 because you have less a chance of winning, but you can if you want to(I’ve got to admit killing a P47 with a stupid little Italian fighter would be funny though). So hopefully this helps someone who has a hard time with P47s and other planes.

Always go for the faster one first.

That is a big factor, but I think turn speed is the most important out of the considerable factors

Something very very important!
If your plane carries any ordinance for ground attack, mainly bombs as those are usually much heavier than rockets, drop all of them because they massively effect your speed.

Bf 109 G-14 is really nice to deal with US planes. I always take it over any tank when I am playing with BR 5 germany. I think the G-10 is better but I got my G-14 from the old berlin campaign.

Surprisingly, it’s not.

The p47 being an hybrid fighter/cas has already great mobility, and incredible speed.

So what you need to know, even before choosing the appropriate plane to counter it, is the 47 only real weakness (it doesn’t have many):

  • it BLEEDS energy during maneuvers, as such it won’t really be able to keep up doing loops.

So. To take it down, it’s really, really easy as a fighter.

  • first. You’re a fighter plane. You must have good energy BEFORE attempting to “hunt”. Stay above 1km high.
  • Second… Spot your target, eh. It’s extremely easy because p47 shoots very visible rockets.
  • third. Get in good position… above it. Don’t attempt a face to face. P47 is a tank.
  • Fourth. Dive. Spray only when close enough, 1-2 seconds suffice with 20mm.
  • Fifth. Only if your target survived your dive, quickly pull back up to get OVER p47 again… and repeat.

Germany fighters are all pretty good. A trusty g10 will always dominate the 47. Always. You can attempt with a Focke, but those are PURE energy fighters… don’t attempt a turning match with those. “Keep high”

no head ons with P-47…once you get above/behind it, it has no hope…

really all there is to it.

Tempest is the real monster

Why are you teaching these people how to Boom and Zoom? You’ve doomed us all! Lol

You said it, Brother…

Recently took it out for a spin (my br 5 experiment I told you about).

And it’s the king of the skies. Didn’t matter what 109 they brought, it can out turn them, climb pretty well AND does not really bleed energy much.

Oh, also decent tank busting bombs and powerful enough canons to vaporize any bird…

Best Premium plane hands down.

But the best part is…

  • It’s Commonwealth!

eheh yeah, sorry… But don’t worry too much, there’s not THAT many German pilots who want to hop into a fighter’s seat…

Bout the only thing saving our skin really. They prefer their armor and think our planes are invincible. Lol. Less of them in the sky, the better

Noooo!

I LOVE when they are in the skies…

Because…

i’m also here, ehehehe

(A dogfight vs a 109 is among the funniest duels to be found in Enlisted. That and Zeros vs Spitfires.)

Heck seems like half the time I win turn fights against Krauts
…in American planes
It’s stupid to be honest

Not really, 109s aren’t the best at turn fights.

They will beat you at zoom n boom thought…

Unless… in a Spitfire or Tempest.

  • Commonwealth ftw!

Dude Boom and Zoom is the only thing American planes are allowed to do. We have 0 energy retention. We get like 1 maybe 2 good turns if we have decent speed and that’s it

thats new/casual pilots for you. First thing anyone does. Flat horizontal, circle jerk turns. (throwing away all speed and energy)

Mmmh yeah I know…

What USA planes have, is heavy, heavy ordinance. Bomb, rockets, maaaaaany 50cal for sustained fire.

But you bring in the tier 2 Spitfire and suddenly, no axis plane can ever touch you again…

That’s cause Britain built planes to rival the Japs. No clue why we built ours with 0 maneuverability

They were built for speed, range and survivability.

Maneuverability is not everything, yes the Zero was the most maneuvrable plane of the war but it lost to Hellcat and Corsair by a far. Even later Spitfire with Griffon engines switched focus to speed and acceleration rather than maneuverability.
