Depends on the play style. Sometimes more rounds are way better (6 vs 15!!)

Well for me the M1 Carbine shoots too slow and is too inaccurate and reloads to slow.
M1 Carbine for CQC, but I take Armaguerra for mid range engagements.
Both guns are pretty situational so they are equal bad

The Armaguerra reloads slower (M1: 2,6 sec, Armaguerra: 3,2 sec) but the superiority for mid range is true.
Still I would chose 15 rds and faster reload over 6 rds every day. When I fight enemies over longer distances I chose the bolt actions instead of the Armaguerra. This gun is just…meeeh.

Germans have MG13 on BR 2, it is almost identical to BAR 1918. But 1918 on BR3. This is not fair. The US and USSR need a machine gun on BR2 similar to MG13.
But the Axis players, as usual, are against it.

I support calls for the M1918 BAR to be reduced to BR II.
In my opinion the 1918 BAR SUCKS. (whereas the M1918BARA2 is awesome and appropriate for BR III).
I also agree it should be moved so there is the option for an American gun at BR II. Even if you dont care about nationality, its also just very annoying having zero options for Allied LMG other than top mounted magazines which suck.
(Vickers and Brens are good guns its just the sights are very annoying).
I also once again call for the lewis gun to be added as a tech tree allied weapon. Previously Ive argued it be BR II, Id still be fine with that but I reckon a good move would be:
M1918 BAR goes to BR II.
Lewis gun is added to BR III.
That way there is both an American and British option at each BR, but also more importantly different options for styles of weapons. Its very annoying at the moment the Allied tree is literally all British top mounted magazines for lower BR and then all American BAR for higher BRs.

Not everything has to have an exact equal opposite…
Now Personally I dont mind the idea of a "lesser " BAR being at BR 2…
but lets not pretend that all factions dont have stuff the others dont or really shouldnt.
to play the “fairness” card, it applies in all areas
On that principle you have to address;
- Body armor: germany doesnt have it, then by extension USA will need it…then Japan (to clarify I dont want it, removed if anything)
- BR 3 “Heavy Tank” only soviets have Heavy tank (again, I think thats fine)
- Customise loadout Paras (Only soviet get - this should be everyone)
- Soviets Get USA and British equipment that they cant get (Valentine, Lewis, Halftrack)
- Soviets dont have BR 2 semi auto (also they have BR 3 box mag Semi Auto while everyone else has stripper clip)
- 100 + round Tech Tree MG… Germany the only nation not to have one
- Axis doesnt have a tech tree Drum mag smg (suomi could go here)
- Germany and USA dont have a Semi Auto AT rifle
- Gerat 03 is the only “semi Automatic” in game at BR 5 (thats just busted)
- USA doesnt have a High BR TT AT launcher (soviets have stolen a launcher)
- USA doesnt have a Tech Tree Assualt rifle (nor should it, And soviets shouldnt beyond the federov either)
- Japans tanks/plane BRS are all messed up and missing alot
- Lots of stuff for Britain and Italy
and the list just keeps going.
Having Different strenghts and weaknesses makes each faction interesting, if the hole is filled by something else
but…if we are going for equal opposite, there is alot to do

Tell you ignored the hidden stats without telling me you ignored the hidden stats.
MG13 has double the sprint penalty, much higher hip firing penalty, higher ADS penalty and much slower reload.
BAR is one best MG in the game because you can run n gun with it, in completely insane fashion.
If you struggle with any BAR on BR3, it’s your skill issue. Many people use it even on BR5 perfectly fine.

There should be a lower BR M1918 (mostly so I can finally use US Gunners in low BR).
The M1918 maybe should have notable worse recoil because it is lighter compared to the other models (and machine guns from other factions) and also worse stats if it is deployed due to lack of bipod (dont know if this is already the case). Maybe also worsen its reload time though I do not know if that makes sense.

Which one? We’re talking about the BAR 1918. Not the BAR 1918 A1. Not the BAR 1918A2.
If you have problems with BAR 1918 on BR2, then… it’s your skill issue?
Recoil is not the issue, it would need massive reload and ADS nerf.

Intentionally ignoring difference between BAR 1918 and A1/A2 is shameless.
All that 1918 need is just slight nerf and it can easily be BR2 MG. There’s no reason for it to stay at BR3, it’s already significantly worse than any other BAR like MG (including FN/WAR/WZ 1928 and so) on its TT counterparts.
Currently it’s on very weird place. There’s literally no reason to use it over other BARs.

They all have very similar moving ADS and 25% sprint penalty. BAR’s best feature is unparalleled mobility that is why recoil differences are not significant.
So you are saying that Euthymia lied about the stats?
