I think that adding a number of new, historicaly accurete for Moscow tanks would be a great idea. These include: T-34 , KV- 1 and possibly KV-2 as a seperate purchasable with real money tank. These tanks we’re greatly used during the battle of moscow in addition to the smaller T-26 and such.
No.
Simply over the fact that if we add T-34s and KV-1s to Moscow, then we need to add historically inaccurate to Germany to counter them.
another No - can’t be “balanced”… mind you we do not have balanced CAS either - what with the luftwaffle being flying nukes… so perhaps we could let the Germans build 88’s as AT and call that “balance”…
The devs need to balance somehow, I want my t34 1941, same as I want my is2 and King tiger back from Alpha… we cannot have asymetrical sides, surely that is clear by now.
Wouldn’t be balanced considering AT is largely useless and you rely on your team. If you want to use AT properly you need to build it in a hidden location, meaning you can’t see targets well, meaning you need team mates to mark targets. Which is a horrible idea to balance around.
I also forgot to mention that german tanks such as the STUG 3 and advancments of the PZ.3 should be added to balance out the situation.
and any German guns at the time capable of killing a KV wouldn’t be possible to hide to begin with.
50mm Panzer IIIs still struggle against KVs to say the least.
I don’t think early StuGs were any better.
It did actually. Early StuGs we’re very succesfull at killing KV-1s during the battle of moscow and it was one of the things that made the german high command begin mass production of them.
Early stugs had the exact same stubby 75 as the Panzer IV that’s already in Moscow.
Wouldn’t help, Pz 3s were pretty useless against KVs
Early Stug models are about as effective as the fat 75 from the panzer, which is not very effective.
From what i’ve read, the STUG had a specialized gun made for anti-tank purposes and that is why it was so succesfull against KV1s. Also you mentioned PZ3’s we’re usless against KVs, well there is a Panzer38(t) in the game which one shot every soviet tank so it would bring balance to the situation aswell as that, the KV-1 could be made purchasable with real money and the T-34 made free and you would need level for it.
The T-28 can one shot every german tank if you aim well enough.
So, pay to win? I’m sure the community will receive that one super well.
The Stug received the 75mm KwK 40 in 1942 after germans encountered KV-1 and T-34s at the battle of moscow. And in autumn 1942 they received the 75mm StuK 40 L/48, that is likely the “special” gun you’re talking about.
If we base campaign unlocks off of when they received the equipment, then the Stug would be at the very very end, while the KV-1 would either be halfway or very early on, which will result in horrible imbalance for months until enough players get the Stug, and even then it would be horrible imbalanced if one of those players doesn’t happen to be in a match seeing as a Detpack wouldn’t really do much to a Kv-1 other than aggressively scratch it’s paint.
Germany would require proper AT measures, if not tanks, Panzerfausts will do.
You are correct, but after all this is a game, so 100% historical accuracy isn’t needed which could mean that the STUG Recieves the Stuk 40/L48 while the KV-1 gets a small nerf so its balanced.
Either way, I’d rather not see the KV-1 be made a premium.
We’ve got that with the Pz 38t and the community response was overwhelmingly negative to it. Imagine what would happen if a tank as strong as the Kv-1 is made a premium.
Sticking in the normal tree and balancing things accordingly so it’s not ridiculously strong or comically weak would probably be for the best.
Opa cheeki-breeki
pz38(t) is useless piece of something that comes from ass. it has no armor. it is too easy to destroy it using any anti-tank rifles or grenades
Yes, once again I agree. My whole idea was just to add these tanks as the current ones get boring real quick and things such as the T-28 was seen rarely in Moscow.
Every tank in the game can easily be killed by AT rifles and grenades, where exactly is your point?
Not quite. Things such as the PZ.3 are pretty hard to destroy using an anti-tank rifle, but yes i get your point.
