suire if we can give spotters to artillery you know have them paint targets for the artillery strike i mean it would just make the game more interesting right

Only since there’s no officers in game (it’s not hll), the squad leader would act like one.
This doesn’t make sense.

I have no idea why you’re making such a big deal of it the Soviets can already technically do the same thing with the golden grenade launcher they got.
which is a gold order weapon of limited range and ammo and cannot shoot over more than a single Buidling level and can be shot in return, it would be as if you had a tech tree squad of grenade soldiers
you don’t even know how to break the game so don’t start talking about something you don’t know about and if you’re camping you can start mass producing those weapons and they even more dangerous when you give them to engineer squads.
that’s the point you have to break the game, its not the game breaking itself for you
you are talking about giving a squad that yes is underpowered at the moment a skill that would be the new meta
and i could insult you as well trying to take the Germans the best team in the game into the only playable team in the game at any chance

Then the Soviets should stop doing the exact same thing then but we both know that’s not gonna happen so I say poor more fuel onto the fire then.
and to give you a quick idea on how you can start mass producing the gold grenade launcher for the Soviets have it set as your main weapon and on death remember to come and pick it back up and just keep repeating the process over and over again and you can start mass producing them.
and if they change it to be a secondary weapon go into controls and find the drop gun key and set it to that key or whatever it is and drop the gun and make it your primary again.
still would love see the back end of rockets, but i guess if you balance radio men and mortar it could be interesting as long as they do not give it to planes or bombing runs or that will be the entire game
again a glitch not a feature, i would not point to glitches and call them features report this glitch don’t emulate it

It’s not about Soviets vs axis. It’s about breathing new life into a class that just isn’t fun or useful atm.
I understand that but what I’m trying to say in this topic is the Soviets can do the exact same thing and it’s more effective than the mortar squad So I don’t see why the mortar squad can’t be a little bit more effective.

My only genuine concern is-
Radio ops have a massive circle on the map.
Tanks and MGs have muzzle flash/tracers.
Hell, even snipers do.
Some guy with an 8x Binoc is, for all intents and purposes practically invisible compared to literally everything else that may or may not be shooting or blatantly moving in the open.
Needs limitations so that it’s something opposing players can respond to.
A loud bang and a pillar of smoke should suffice. (Remember about 10s flight time.)
in a battlefield full of loud bang and smoke (Tank shells - Bombs - Grenade - Exploding tanks - rpgs)
secondly he is talking about finding the spotter who gives away no signs of they are presence and only has over long distance to expose the head sorry but how the heck do i see a spotter and how the heck do i kill him, and no sniper are not the same thing and a sniper is himself exposed, if i get killed by a mortar that won’t tell me where the spotter is
