Add the KV-2 into the battle of Moscow campaign. The KV-2 is one of the most iconic early war Soviet heavy tanks so it should be added into the game.
Da Tovarisch, complete balance
As much as Iâd love to see it, it would unbalance the current state of affairs in Moscow, and would once again create an Arms Race not unlike we see in Normandy.
I donât think doing that is a good idea, personally.
Donât ruin the balance, man. Itâd be like Normandy all over again, where player always bitching about other side.
Its âiconicâ? Its a meme tank like any big tank of the Reds.
that is why itâs so iconic because itâs the russian deathfridge
I want it added just to hear the crying.
I think this is going to be the case for most of the big heavies like the KT or IS2. I still support just having them on some maps as wrecks with limited ammo that can be repaired with toolkits and then crewed. Makes it so theyre in the game, they can be powerful, but they arenât overly oppressive and you wont see 8 KV2 or King Tiger wrecks on one map.
Just no, why would you have them screwed and only on some maps as if they were incredibly terrible threat while there is already some medium/heavy tanks like panther and t34 that can be destroyed with ease (even OS) with AT grenade and panzerfaust ? And they havenât even released yet bomber II and III on most of campaignsâŚ
Thoses tanks have already terrible reload time (22s for the IS2 per example) and some are very slow, you guys are doing too much.
It would be brilliant to see the KV-2, but as others have said the last thing Enlisted needs is another tank arms race in a campaign.
Theyâve shown with Normandy that theyâre unable/uninterested in balancing armour. If anything they need to fix NormandyâŚand not by selling obscenely expensive tanks that address the balance problems they created months ago.
would be the same as early Tiger tanks in Leningrad.
Or 20 Soviet players vs 4 German players in Berlin.
These arguments must stop. Balance is the number one priority of gameplay.
Bf110 C7:
What is glitch?
Sounds like a bad idea. The devs and war thunder players are always focused on more and more armor that everyone forgets about infantry. They would need larger AT guns and an equal on each side and as Normandy has shown us they are incapable of making solid balance with tanks
It is an absolutely terrible idea that would ruin Moscow tank play for good.
But yes! I love that ugly rolling stove that shoots trucks!
Hey those at least tend to reach the front line, and not get destroyed by their own crews half way to the front after their transmissions falied and there wasnât any spares available, like the Panthers, tigers and king tigers.
Which is why the Finns and the Reich had captured KV2s lol.
The KV was unreliable as hell and unable to counter the German doctrine. Its a bunker-breacher, thats it.
Hey, Panthers and King Tigers reached the front lines.
Or more accurately, the front lines reached them.
It would either be imbalanced, firing 152mm screw that part of the map in particular HE shells, erase enemy tanks in a single with with anitbunker or AP shells, or it would be an absolute meme.
In Moscow, it would be a nigh unkillable beast, unless you can ammo rack it with an ATR from the side or bomb it.
In berlin, it canât stand up well to the long 75mm guns it would face, and the reload wouldnât be fast enough to afford a miss, as well as being slow and clumsy in the urban environment.
the kv2/su152 is supposed to blow down walls and buildings, I wonder how theyâll implement that
Because with the current system we have, you can infinite spawn in tanks. That means once the KT, KV, Pershing, etc are added, then weâre going to have games where 10+ KTâs are going to spawn and itâs going to ridiculous. Theyâre also going to be incredibly silly because they will get blown up instantly by explosive packs, but then be invincible vs most enemy tanks, which is just going to lead to players sitting as far back as they possible can like we already see with the Jumbo and Panther in Normandy. Stuff like the KV2 and ISU-152 are also going to be basically worthless with 20+ second reload times for shots that kill 3 enemies because of how inconsistent the current HE shell damage is. If these heavies are relegated to map based, it creates dynamic gameplay where players have secondary objectives to control instead of just the normal rush the objective with bodies. Also allows the developers to make these heavies feel incredibly powerful and dominant because a team is restricted to just one of them with limited ammo. Theres also a concern with historical accuracy considering there were very few KV1s, and only a handful of KV2s (in Moscow) or KTâs (in Berlin). But the jumbo and T-50 exist so thats already out the window
