In Normandy campaign, from axis perspective, the balance is just honestly beyond broken, especially when it comes to Jumbos. Fighting them from the front, especially in long ranges is just hopeless. No way Pz IV H compares to Jumbo (both 20lvl).
Before bringing up “just aim for the mg port or commander’s hatch”, have fun aiming for the 2mm wide weakspots across half the map, meanwhile you get pinned down instantly.
My reason for bringing up Hetzer, is it would be a quite good variant for countering Jumbos. Both have similar frontal armour, weakspots size and gun power. On a side note, what the actual f is 1945 tank is doing in Normandy.
On the easier way, just find a way to stop tanks front camping the grey zones, since it would solve most of the problems.
Panther answer’s all these but yes it is very far into the campaign. The Jumbo broke the balance
i guess panther isn’t good enough also:
A) panther’s gun is much better than hetzer
B) jumbo is firing m72 solid shot that is below 100mm of pentration. it’s close to 92mms of pentration.
C) hetzer doesn’t have any similar weak spots to jumbo while all but panzer 3N can overmatch the lower side armor of the jumbo
the main issue for me is the levels. There’s 11 level difference from Jumbo and Panther. They want us to counter Jumbos with Pz IV Hs. I really wouldn’t mind if panthers were on the same level as Jumbos
Yeah there are issues on that I agree. Jumbo shouldn’t be where it is. M10 shouldnt be against Panther either. Normandy is alot of odd “balance” for vehicles
would be cool if low lvl player could get these “super trash” vehicles that can still take out high lvl players, instead of having both bad armor and bad gun power.
keep in mind that jumbo is more geared towards infantry support while panzer 4s are more geared towards anti tank and normandy maps can be to blame for jumbo’s inclusion especially d-day, but the gray zone only makes the jumbo strong as it is.
PS: hezter would be worse than PZ4H
so I guess just removing the ability to gray zone-camp would solve most of the issues

cool, so the panzer IV is better against Jumbo, but the Jumbo is better vs infantry? I believe you are confusing something here.
technically that is correct because m72 doesn’t have any explosive filler unlike the shell of the kwk40, but i mean in general
What he’s saying is jumbo players need to get off their ass and move in to give close support to the infantry and not greyzone camp
The counter to all tanks, at evey level, is explosive packs and aircraft - they cause at least 90% of tank casualties.
Sucks to be an outmatched tank when you do face up to an enemy one, but honestly you should be grateful for at least having that rare chance!
Panther player here who compared both WT and Enlisted system every now and then.
Let me tell you something, if you think Panther is broken, just know that due to Enlisted system (Which some people said to be using old WT tank system), Panther has MUCH less penetration than what it should actually have.
Yeah, it could one-hit Jumbo frontal hull at more than 500m-800m range with its AP. Here? Even if we were to shoot if from terrain advantage angle, we still have to go Jumbo’s MG port.
Basically, The Panther in Enlisted is just a Pz IV H with frontal armor to protect it from getting one-shotted. Literally. If Darkflow actually gets Panther to its correct parameter, Jumbo players would be writing 10 paragraph long of sob stories about how Panther killed their entire family and started an evil empire which allies players must work together to fight together, yadda-yadda.
A bit more to the topic, Hetzer might fare better against Jumbo than a Pz IV H. That, or just replace Jumbo with an M4(76). oh, wait, they can’t. Darkflow made them premium.

Enlargement of playing field (pushing grey zone “border”) would make my tiny light tanks much more dangerous, even to ugly house sized tanks. Can’t wait for the day it happens…
Yeah thats the current problem with adding tank destroyers to counter medium/heavy tanks in what are essentially funnel maps. Tank destroyer might win but now you have a turret less or open top, lightly armored tank often with no co axil MG that us up against TNT armed infantry
The greyzone zone is a joke. Got into a match and a jumbo player abusing the greyzone area getting a lot of kill, thinking he’s contributing for the team. fortunately i won the match, but the jumbo loses the match without getting killed.
You know… speaking about it with people here… It made me realize so many things would get solved with pushing the grey zone borders away. Not just the grey zone camping tanks… but it could be a great opportunity to reduce power creep.
How? With a larger playing field, light, fast tanks at low lvl are relevant again. All the devs would need to make them viable is give them their supposed speed, or at least boost it a lil, removing the 30kmh cap all vehicles are affected with.
A light tank enthusiast like me would just love to pester jumbo shitters with the simple Puma. Or circle and pumel to death big cats with my trusty Rhino.
