Add Hetzer in Normandy campaign

True!

As a part time Jumbo player myself… I always wonder how those Pz4 destroy the mighty jumbo with 1 or 2 shots. Maybe they use tactics… I’m not sure

the jumbo appeared in late summer early fall of 44 not in 45

Most tanks have very weird statistics that dont represent “real life” the way they should. I am not a huge War thunder fan, mostly because of “lack of realistic representation” in favour of gameplay balance.

And while this Idea also exists in enlisted, vehicles have different stats and work differently in both games, which is kinda weird right?

That’s funny cause I love humiliating Pumas by killing them with a .50 Cal or HE whenever I get the chance.

Tanks in Normandy doesn’t makes sense. Jumbo wasn’t there, but then again, Allies tanks were severely underpowered during the Battle for Normandy.

Allies Tanks in Battle for Normandy =

  • M4 Sherman
  • Stuart
  • Scott
  • M10 Wolverine
  • M18 Hellcat
  • Comet
  • Cromwell
  • Sherman Firefly

Meanwhile, Axis tank in Battle for Normandy =

  • Pz IV Upgunned (E, J, yadda-yadda.)
  • StuG III
  • Jagdpanther (Uh-oh)
  • Panther (Uh-huh)
  • Tiger (Bruh)
  • KING Tiger (Yep, first combat operation is in Battle of Normandy, level 40 Axis confirmed)

To put it simply, yeah. Darkflow have to magically pull some tanks out for Normandy like the Jumbo, else Allies will literally get stomped. Not even a joke, once Tiger 2 rolls out, they will.

The closest thing they have to fight the Tiger 2 would be T34, SUPER Pershing etc. But reminder that these tanks that is most likely to combat them are trials, prototypes, never saw any combat, blablabla. Only two Super Pershings were built too, just like how there were only two Maus built. So, yeah.

With no realistic stuffs like “Axis lack of fuel, bad transmission, no repair parts yadda-yadda”, in an even playing field, Axis is going to moonwalk Allies, and while Allies air supremacy player can flex about how easy it is to kill tanks with rockets and bombs, it doesn’t really matters much as they are going to go in forum and scream about how OP these tanks is, anyway.

“Axis tanks are too overpowered but easy to kill”

Feel free to process this sentence and try to make a sense of it. I don’t have allies-translator.

Both are different games, but used the same system. People have figured out that Enlisted is using the old, unrefined system of War Thunder, God knows how outdated it is.

imo the panther is OP in tanks vs tank combat but a good pilot with a p47 or a p51 can easily destroy it.

thus making it op and easy to kill at the same time

crazy stuff, I didnt know that… just checked online… first Tiger II combat was in july 44 in normandy lol

Actually, Comet with APDS could be a usable counter. It’s not completely historical, but much better than a jumbo.
Instead of the Jumbo we could have seen a cromwell, firefly could have been a Panther counter and M18 a Jagdpanther counter. And things like Jumbo could have been left as premiums.
So technically if handled well, there’s no need for fantasy tanks. But, you know gaijin gaijined us once again.

there is also the sherman firefly with APDS and it’s historically accurate since the APDS was in normandy during opertion overlord

I found that it only arrived for the push out of Normandy, but it is possible it was there earlier.

i m afraid it makes no sence to add it right now, even tho it is on the files and was present on the training grounds on early OBT game.

. but sure… why not…

the same could be said for APCS, i do want them, but why… at level 30+ on current campaigns…
