Add extension of voices pack and dynamic music with integration support for mods

a bit of context

sobs

i’d like to premise that my previous ( and probably ignored suggestion, much like the others ) is still up " on the table "

Voice lines - a required fix, tweaks, and various additions

mostly because, those issues are still present.

but this one, aims to cover something that i only briefly touched in the suggestion above. but yeah. essentially naive and wishful thinking at best. the same i put with every suggestion for a brighter and better future that’ll never come.

however, i did at least tried.

main suggestion

Integration of sound mods with mods

as briefly mentioned in the title,

it would be really awesome for us modders being able to integrate standalone sound mods opposed as being forced to replace vanilla ones.

reason being, zombies mods and modern conflict ones are the most popular mods.
and for those who would like to enhance and fully replicate the experience intended, some of us make audio packs.

the problem is, those audios are kinda a hinderance for when people switch back to the vanilla / default experience.

and even more gets annoying having to remove and reinstall each time ( or moving on a separate folder / rename ) each file bank.

hence, it would be much better if we could integrate them with our mods.

the second reason, i, for example, would like to create custom stand alone voice mods for my mods.

having australians, arabians, finnish, greek and many other voice lines to include.

or in my case,
i am currently making a total conversion of enlisted, into a police mod.

some pics

with custom maps,

custom clothings:

custom weapons

vehicles and what not,

but much, much more ( soon :tm: )

where essentially i have more than 6 factions

( mexican cartel, bank robbers, russian mob, italian mob, state police, fbi, cia, county sheriffs, police officers, )

where i would like each has their own voice lines opposed as being limited to replace vanilla ones.

hence, the suggestion would be, being able to add replacement and add standalone voice packs to include with mods in the and then upload them through the %ugm function.

without forcing players to modify their sound mod folder.

dynamic music

for dynamic music, i mean a system that has some music attached for when being out of combat, with a transition to other set of music for when being in combat.

let’s say, there are 8 songs in total.

4 for the " quiet " part that will play shortly after the battle intros. and as soon bullets starts fly, the music will fade and switch to the others remaining 4 which will be for the " action " musics.

nothing too complex.

which, such system was actually " planned " and was partially made but never introduced.
because in the game file, there are resemblances of dynamic music pieces and what not.

long story short,

this is a dynamic loopable music that changes with separated pieces from the files.

but, it shouldn’t be too hard to implement because an " out of combat " system is already in place.
which the " heal out of combat " perk exists

some general tweaks for example, when someone is being fired upon or the enemy is in 30/20 meters of range, the music will shift it’s tone.

well, i don’t have to explain how dynamic music would work. but it’s quite straight forward.

but it can be used for those races missions, zombies, and well, whoever would like such music system in their mods.

P.s yes, zombie already has some sort of music system.

but it’s not dynamic.

and you can’t make it work outside non-zombie mods.

so, that’s why a dedicated node would be better.

that’s all.

i would have liked to request faction based musics like war thunder, but that may be too much.

Dynamic music is so complex, in fact, that it’s been almost 2 years since the music files were added. And they either haven’t figured out a way to make it work well, or it was moved down the priority list.

Zombies is easier because all they had to do is fade out the battle music during wave changes. A real battle has more variables.

I know it’s boring and monotone at this point but… custom content support would also solve the issue of custom sounds imo.

i’m not an expert.

but i don’t think so.

as said,

the healing out of combat exist.

a system that activates something that takes into account shots, enemies or whatever it’s based on, it’s there.

just use it on a wav file / path.

and turn it on and off.

perhaps slighlty more to it with the fade, but it’s there.

well easier or not,

makes half the job.

which just needs to be combined with the other part.

well no.

because we have no scripting.

it would be just half way.
