About White Phosphorus Smoke Grenade

I completely agree with you, WP grenades need to have some limitations.
I think there should be a limit to the number of WP grenades you can have. For example, a limit of three per squad.
I do not think the power should be nerfed. I don’t think the power should be nerfed because this game favors ambush and it is very difficult to clear a well defended bunker with guns alone. A few WPs are necessary for game balance.

I agree with this suggestion.
White phosphorus grenades are destroying the balance of this game.
Gas that penetrates walls, houses and bunkers thrown in large numbers make the defense team suffer more than necessary.
Also, attackers who are not spamming will be fed up with boring matches where they can’t penetrate and can’t engage in firefights.
I am. Maybe, but I’m sure everyone else feels the same way.

Imagine this: 9-man infantry teams each carrying 3 white phosphorus grenades and rifle grenades, two flamethrower squads, again with lots of white phosphorus grenades, and that’s what I encountered in the Pacific, pure agony.

In my experience there’s no reason to take regular smoke grenades over a willy pete, a willy pete is just as visually obstructive plus it damages people

In another thread, there was a suggestion that certain grenades should be given special animations, which I thought was a good idea to rebalance the WPgrenade.
So I am writing down my imagination about the ideal WPgrenade animation. Please let me know what you all think.

WP Animation
(1). When the WPgrenade is used, it will start animating when you take it out of the pouch and hold it in your hand. This takes 2~3 seconds.

(2). After you have the WP grenade in your hand, the player character will shout something like this.

“GO WILLY PETE!!! GET MSD!”

It is a reminder to allies to throw very aggressive grenades. I have seen actual troops yell this when throwing grenades, so it would be immersive. If the Player Squad bot is alive at this time, it will shout

“WILLY PETE!”

if the player squad bot is alive at this time. This voice is also heard by the opponents.
It would be nice if this line could be recorded in each country’s language.

(3). The player pulls out the pin and throws it. This takes 2~3 seconds.

So,It takes about 5 to 6 seconds to throw the WP grenade.
The WP has a large gap at the cost of its strong suppression power, and its loud voice gives the opponent time to deal with it.
If you lengthen the animation, it essentially acts as a cooldown when used. Therefore, when making this improvement, we will not introduce a limit on the number of possessions.

I think this is a good idea to make the WP grenade a fair item while keeping it powerful.
What do you all think?

I think it’s a great idea, not only does the longer throw animation look more realistic, it also helps balance the grenade spam issue that has been complained about within the player community - opposing players have more chances to take them down, and it also makes it harder for one player to clear a large area with grenades alone.

Seriously, how can a person twitch their arm (which is what the animation looks like), pull out a grenade from a bag, pull the safety and throw it in 3 seconds, let alone repeat it three times in such a short period of time?

That said, I think a new backpack could be introduced that would only hold two grenades, but allow the player to remove and throw it faster - certainly not as fast as now

Yes, you are right !
I think the appeal about this game is the mixture of realism and casualness. However, there is room for improvement in the fact that the motion of throwing a grenade is instantaneous like in Call of Duty. This is because the game does not allow you to run and jump around like in Call of Duty.

If I had a grenade hanging on my clothes or belt, it would take me a couple of seconds to retrieve it, and even longer if it was in a pouch.
I also know that the actual grenade requires quite a bit of force to pull the safety pin out.

The animation modification I suggested above is just a tapping exercise as well. Unfortunately, my military knowledge is not very deep, so if DarkFlow is really going to renovate the animation, it should be more in line with military thinking.
If any of you who have seen my post have further military realistic suggestions or other good ideas, please let me know.
