I proposed gas mask as a counter.
But i agree, the WP grenades lack a counter.
Recently started experimenting with a squad that carries 12 WP grenades and the area or duration of area denial you can do is just silly.
In the destruction mode Americans detonate bomb damn fast.
If somebody do spamming that gas granade into the bomb site, Axis players have no choice but losing that post. WTF?
also there’s should be a proper display of being hurt by the gas, countless times I’ve died due to gas i was unaware of.

A gas mask would do nothing for the fire of course, but should help with gas.

yes. but the general idea is that the smoke produced actually hurts you if you are wounded and stuff.

quite sure you don’t get away by just using a gas mask it’s what i’m saying.
beside, asking for a new whole system with gas masks and stuff, you are quite optimistic.
hence why a simple shorter time of effect would do the trick
Let’s not nerf everything when introduced please, counters such as gas masks might be option, or restrictions to over spamming an area, if you throw two or three, damage doesn’t stack maybe, reducing duration defeats the point… now were gas grenades that prevalent in Normandy really, not so sure?
I am certainly getting tired of the Phosphorus spam. It is just too effective with 0 counters, especially when spammed across the entire point. I am for the gas mask idea that has been floating around lately, and maybe a slight nerf to their effectiveness because they really shouldn’t be able to gas you through walls so easily.

large grenade pouch should be removed and i’m never getting off this soapbox. dev can nerf detpacks and grenades as much as they want but as long as you can carry 3, throwables will always be broken

You like the fact a single person can clear an objective by themselves?
Like imagine you´re playing D-Day defense and you need to defend a Bunker. Problem is there´s a guy spamming his Willie Pete, meaning none of your team can contest the objective but their team has no problem with it apart from a little smoke.
My proposed fix would be to make WP damage teammates aswell. If my braindead teammate with a flamethrower and molotov can light my ass on fire constantly why should WP be any different?

What they hurt teammates too? I don´t use them and never got the feeling they really stopped the enemy just running in. Still throwing your own WP grenades on the objectives because the enemy is doing it seems kinda silly doesn´t it? Would it hurt the game to remove them? They don´t improve the game since it´s just another piece of equipment with no counterplay if you haven´t unlocked it or any equivilant.
I forgot to add to that “with no effort”. That´s on me but I was kinda expecting everyone to get whta I was going at.
Flamethrowers, tanks, airplanes and artillery can´t kill you through walls. Nice whataboutism though.
