FG isn’t really as OP as you think. But with your logic, then they should nerf Allies too, make it so that only troopers can have an M2 carbine. When I play USA I counter FG42 really easily - just put M1 and M2 on each soldier, and in this way you have semi and auto options. Only real difference is that you actually have enough bullets to use the M2. Try using FG42 in auto and see how long you’ll have ammo.

m2 carbine has extremely high recoil when going full auto, and has high recoil when doing semi automatic, m1 carbine shares the recoil problem with m2 carbine with damage slightly above .45 acp. now i love the carbines and will run almost entire squads with m1 carbines but you got to be delusional if you think they are good by any means. p38s has subpar AA capability, which wouldn’t matter because germans love to suicide bomb, and terrible CAS with the only good american CAS being a-20 and p47 and that’s all.
i assume you are talking about m1 garand and not carbine which would be smart but 8 shots isn’t going to be enough to stop a 9 man squad of FGs

So is FG42. Cannot understand why these people have so much groundless hatred against FG42. I always(99% cases) use MG42 and FG42 II(15% less vertical and 50% less horizontal recoil compared with FG42 dogshit) as my primary choice, only use FG42 when snipers and gunners are all killed
there is no such thing as the P-48, maybe you meant P-51 that has dumb bombs and 12.7mm guns, and if you can compare a BAR with a MG42 and say that both of them are on the same category of fighting then im not complaining anymore about them being op

M2 carbine is worse than fg42 by far, BAR is worse than any German LMG by a sizeable degree, Thompson is good at close range but loses at long range to the Beretta 1918 and 38, M1 Garand is worse than the Gewehr 43. Sherman is more or less equal to the Pz IVJ. Ju 188 still has a larger bomb load than US attackers.

maybe the issue could come from it’s damage and the fact that you can equip on most useful classes outside of gunners and assaulters, it would be like giving the americans BARs as a multiclass

? It’s dogshit due to its bad sight with magazine in the upper part of the gun and a extremly high horizontal recoil(2x more than PPsh). Only good at room clearing, but MG42 and even dogshit FG42 is better than it.

Before you shout I am a US main. I have played both sides extensively.
Regarding retarded teammates, Germany wins again. US players are decent at engineering and objective. Germans are not comparable by a mile.

Name doesnt mean anything. It was used as an LMG so it is fine to be categorized as LMG in game
