If I unlock the M4A1(76) with a gold order now, will I be able to use it immediately with the new progression system? Or should I unlock Tanker III first? (Currently I’m level 8 in Normandy Allies).
Then another question, if it were possible to play with it right away, would the M4A1 be a good buy? Or are there better allied tanks?
i believe you will be able to use it from the get go without the need of unlocking the base squad.
considering that squads will end up being merged into one ( for vehicles ).
and they did told us that we would keep what we got.
regarding the second question ( that i somehow didn’t saw )
well, the M4A1 ( i believe you are talking about the standard sherman right? ) it’s good, and you can use it without having it unlocked. because it’s for the first squad. but you gotta use it as a mortar as the shells tends to fall short. .
from the distance, you have to aim pretty high in order to land shots.
and if you are a new player, i highly suggest to get that instead of the 76.
because if you buy the Sherman 76 you will not be able to use it right away, ( before the merge ) and After the merge, you will most likely face opponents with heavier tanks and much late equipment.
due to being level 8, i do not suggest you to buy right away the 76.
in my opinion, it would be best if you level up on par with vehicles and equipment.
otherwise you’ll have a huge difference in equipment which will end up biting you.
but the choice is yours 
You need to have squad that will be able to use vechicle. Campaign level to unlock such vechicle not counts when you buy something.
Whe dont know how squad get reworked, we know this: soldier level and squad tier gonna be snapped from existence
What replace them is a mistery, anyway the sherman76 is still a new gold order veichle before disappear from the shop you need wait at least another year, so, wait more information on the new squad system and decide after if buy the gold order sherman76
You sure? All Squads will be merged? So im wasting time now on levelling my tanker squads and infantry ones?
i already spend some gold on levelling squads as well, will ppl like myself be compensated?

I hope its not the case, too many ppl like myself spend hundred of hours grinding the squads to max upgrades, the post also mention they adding new squads. anyway its too vague yeah and lacking in so many information
Grinding Tier 3 Soldiers Squads takes almost forever
Wellm there wont be any Soldier tiers anymore so partly it do was a waste.
I actually have 500+ hours in this game ahahahah, the problem is i don’t know anything about allied tanks as i’m only now playing with them. My fear is that my gold orders will be misused. The only thing I know for sure (if that’s how the gameplay will work) is that early war Sherman IIs or M4A2s are way more competitive than a late war M4A1(76) (although this can destroy Tigers), that’s why I’m very undecided on which one to get.
Yes you’re right, maybe it’s better to wait a little longer.
