During the Pacific War, the U.S. Army used the 37mm M2 Canister Shell extensively.
It was like a giant shotgun, used to reap jungle trees and smash Japanese assault troops.
This ammunition could be used by M2/M3 Stewart and others.
It would be interesting to see the game someday add a Stuart equipped with this Canister Shell to the tech tree.
It would also be interesting to see more variations of tanks from different countries with unique weapons like the Canister Shell.

(Especially since 37mm HE does a whole load of jack all)

Yeah, a light tank like the M3 Stewart should have a more attractive element than pick it.
