This is fucking ridiculous - for those not aware the Charleton was a conversion of hte SMLE MkIII to automatic fire.

1500 were made and htey were intended to be used in case of Japanese invasion of NZ disrupting supplies of “regular weapons”.

As such THEY WERE NEVER ISSUED TO ANYONE!!! They sat in a warehouse until almost all of them were destroyed in a fire.

As a kiwi I’m totally fucked off at this stupidity - Too much bullshit - I’m outtahere - perhaps see some of u in HLL, WT ort Squads or PS - I use the same name there so say hi if u see me! :wave:

the 2nd NZ division is a collector item tho. just like Summer event PPK-42 which only exist 2 prototype.

It seems like an odd choice for sure. I get they want to make it unique but I’m sure there was something that was actually used they could of added. Owen SMG? Thompson? A SMLE? Very odd choice

This. I don’t disagree with adding the weapon because it’s rare or unissued (premium squad, that’s what they’re for), I don’t like that they gave Allies Tunisia another premium squad with an automatic weapon, further skewing the (already awful) balance farther in the Allies’ favor.

this isn’t going to be premium, it’s going to be classed as an event squad so it’s similar to premium but no exp bonus

i don’t since i primarily use the ppk squad and don’t get bonuses they have different symbols as well

Yeah, the event reward PPK-42 squad. I could swear I’ve gotten premium squad xp bonus from them, but I could be wrong or misremembering. Next time I play I’ll use them and find out.

Either way, limited premium/event squads and gold orders should be all about the weird prototype/captured/rare weapons.

popped back because I knew there’d be some questions - so to answer the one I consider relevant:

For me this game is ALL about the history - and it is a historical joke.

I’ve made many posts about the various screwups over the months - anyone who has comnversed with me here will know that. This is just the one that broke the camel’s back - it has descended too far into ludicrous fantasy to be worth my time or money any more.

Fucking shame - could have been one of the best WW2 shooters if not THE best - but it’s become WW2 Warhammer

so what i like to see more full atuos again whats it matter if they were used? there cool. and it kinda fills a gap right now. you want historical accuracy but historical accuracy isnt fun for a game its usually one sided so why not add stuff on the borderline that didn’t quite make it in battle
