Reasoning:
Every other nation has access to BR1 paratroopes (Soviet flexible, Axis premium, Japanese event) – Western Allies don’t.
Western Allies already have another BR2 paratroopers squad – the event 2nd Parachute batallion with BSA Welgun. Two are redundant.
M1A1 Carbine does not look to be so powerful that it would upset the balance on BR1 (but it can also be nerfed if needed).
I unironically have a CJ in this squad and he wants to go again
Personally Id rather it remain BR2, I think it works well there, (Also works for my BR2 US marine setup, I pray for a BR2 M1918 one day.).
I think a better solution would be to give all nations a squad of flexible paratroopers.

I think it would be cool if they held an event and had four paratroopers with interchangeable weapons. An Italian paratrooper with a default weapon of the BERETTA M38A 40, an American paratrooper with a default weapon of the M1928A1 Thompson, a Soviet paratrooper with a default weapon of the PPSH 41 Box, and a Japanese paratrooper with a default weapon of the Type 100 Late.
If M1A1 C was moved to BR1, why isn’t M1 C moved as well?
This change would lead to another powercreeping cycle.
Well, for once this squad has very limited availability – only a small percentage of the playerbase would be affected, not the whole tech tree.
Secondly, I just think it’s redundant to have 2 para squads on BR2 and 0 on BR1.
Lastly, I honestly wouldn’t mind if this M1A1 was nerfed to oblivion – I just want BR1 paras to drop and build rallies, not fight efficiently.
I support! This squad is rare, and not the best in terms of weapons.
the m1 and by extension m1a1 carbines are 1 br2 gun
maybe if they could find a 10 round magazine but at 15 rounds it needs to say at br2
some of the 30 cal carbines prototypes had 10 round magazines
That would be ideal, though tbh if they want to save time, they dont need the soviet one since the soviets already have one.
Still 4 would be best, even if 3 would work.
I would, I like it at BR2, and its still a good weapon at BR2.
I would infinitely rather an actual BR1 weapon and squad instead, that or even better, just give us para’s for all nations with interchangeable options.
It’s been a long time since they were released. Many (including me) don’t have it.
Of course, this is all wishful thinking, apparently snail doesn’t intend to give us a paratrooper squad.
Why not put bsa welgun down instead? It isnt that good anyways. It could be nerfed a bit if needed
Unless the M1A1 has significantly worse stats than the M1 it doesn’t really make sense to move the squad down to BR1.

As because we need yet another power creep right after adding M1A1 to BR2. And just recently you US main been asking for BAR to go to BR2, what’s next? Drum tommy to BR3?
They also need to give this squad proper airborne M1942 uniforms outside of the pacific
Italian paratroopers with BR1 SMG are BR2 
With flame thrower
And even OG-43 is better than M1A1 in BRII
