Calling a Beretta M38 reskin to a thompson is quite a take. The only things it does better is velocity, which 99% of the time barely matters with how the game plays, and has a bit less recoil. The OG-43 is stat wise basically a copy of the BR1 Beretta M38 with a nerfed ROF, and you can’t even take ammo pouches on these guys. The OG-43 deserves to be BR1.

We are talking about M1A1 carbine as paratrooper weapon’s BR
Like I said most of the para trooper have auto weapon in their BR, so reasonable enougth M1A1 carbine can be BR1
M2A1 carbine is classed SMG not simiauto rifle like M2 carbine in enlisted
So if M1A1 carbine is also classed for assaulter weapon it should be BR1
And a 15 round semiauto isn’t overpowered in BRI in premium/event standered
I mean M1A1 carbine, this whole topic is talking about M1A1 carbine
A BR1 SMG is better than a BRII semiauto carbine

All the US mains I know want the M1A1 to get a 20rnd mag to justify it at BR2, they know its OP at BR2 and want it fixed.
As for something like a BAR at BR2, it would be very nice to get, even if the M1918 BAR would have to get a little nerf to fully justify it. Just having a US MG at BR2 would be amazing.

As you can see here, only a little tweaking would be needed to make it fit in line for BR2, maybe reducing the sprint factor down to 65? (Balancing it by making it a little faster to run with at the cost of 20% less ammo per magazine). Otherwise its very much on par with BR2 weaponry.
I would say moving the British BR2 squad down would make more sense. Their SMG is very similar to the Sten (Which is a BR1 gun) while the M1A1 is identical to the M1 carbine which is definitly a BR2 gun

No you don’t see anything as in game recoil stats are a complete fabrication and a lie.
BAR is superior in every single way outside of ammo in mag and sprint speed. Even vertical recoil doesn’t matter as it has superior visual recoil and lower horizontal recoil. MG13 sucks in current iteration and people vastly overrate it, it should get buffed if you want BAR at BR2, and Germany is in long overdue to finally get fnab with realistic rof, give them at BR3 new MP40 and buff G41 reload speed and give them G43 + sniper G43 in a TT.
Increase the BAR’s reload to 2.6 seconds, increase visual recoil to to 0.5/0.6 if needs be, also you say it like magazine size isnt an important stat, which it absolutely is.

I personally prefer something like the Japanese Thompson. Or it could be a 20 round version of the M21/28 Thompson. an M1A1 with a 20 round mag would be too bad. (This weapon has terrible accuracy, let’s not even talk about the sight)
Fine by me, its a CQC weapon, unlike certain mains who whine to high hell their SMGs are no longer laser beams, I can live with a dodgy weapon, as long as it fits my US squads, certainly beats having to use them with grease guns, morso in the likes of NA.
Its far too powerful for BR2, and it deserves a 20rnd mag for it.
I will say though, idk why, but the jap thompson just doesnt click with me, I find it awkward to use at times, I mean my burst length is always too long or too short with it, Im forever having to mop up downed people with it, dont have that issue with any other 20rnd thompson either.
Well, I’m not looking for defense to keep it in BR2. If they give me a good 20 round version like the Japanese Thompson, they can easily take the M1A1 away from me.
Some weapons are really tasteful.
Why though? Why would we need, let alone want yet another Thompson variant in the tree? Especially when what we have at the moment is completely fit for purpose and could be relatively easily adjusted for balance.
I remember CoD 2. There was a really good M1A1 with a 20 round magazine. It felt really good, accurate and reliable. But the M1A1 in Enlisted feels like a toy to me.

Maybe we could change its magazine to 20, but increase its accuracy in return? Like the Japanese Thompson which has a dispersion of 0.58. (M1A1 dispersion is 0.73).
I mean genuinely, I have no issue with its dispersion, so I think its a non issue, however I also see no harm in making it more accurate. Assuming it got a 20rnd mag ofc.
