Bolt-action rifle was more of a weapon for beginners, or a basic weapon for those who couldn’t fully replace it with a better weapon.
Level-up Due to the nature of the game, the higher the level, the better the gun or a weapon with a certain merit.
However, raising the damage of weapons used in the early stages to an incomparable extent not only creates a problem with the balance, but also creates a huge problem with the level-up system.
The fact that there is no difference between a squad composed of bolt action for an hour of play and a squad of players armed with automatic rifles and machine guns of those who spend thousands of hours playing the game also reduces the value of spending money on this game and makes it difficult to get to where you are now. It also makes players feel relatively deprived.
I’m not saying you should nerf the initial rifle and buff the automatic rifle. As far as the level between the two, there was a player’s investment, and you should be able to say a little bit about that satisfaction.
Even if you increase the damage of bolt action rifles excessively like now, you may feel comfortable right now, and other newbies may feel more comfortable with the first game, but in the long run, it is necessary to play the game for a long time with the expulsion of a long-time user. It only provides factors that make it nonexistent
Now instead of power creep, we have side grades: 1 shot lethal weapon, but slow and low ammunition for bigger magazine, higher rof weapons, with lower damage output.
No matter how fast the fire rate is, automatic rifles and submachine guns take a few hits to get down. But bolt action can be downed with one shot, do you think this is correct? Even the level difference is not one or two guns, but dozens of different guns.
Look at it this way. If you miss with bolt-action, you are sitting duck for several seconds depending on weapon. With smg, you miss, you just correct your aim without taking your finger off of MB1. (Not to mention the fact that as far as I can remember you are the most mobile while holding SMGs)
Yes I think it’s correct. Even if it’s true bolties can kill with one shot, it’s also true they require a modicum of skills, whereas automatics do not: they’re easy to use.
I used it when bolt action was buffed in Stalingrad. Even though the enemy had automatic rifles and submachine guns, I easily won by doing hundreds of kills. Do you think this is a skill issue? Rather, you who are in favor of this is a skill issue
It’s easy to use bolt action and aim at your opponent’s torso as long as you have hands. Automatic rifles should aim like that. If you can’t hit it with bolt action, you can’t hit it with an automatic rifle either.
What prevents you from just “aiming at the enemy’s torso” with an automatic rifle or an smg if it’s so easy then? Even better, just aim at the head, it insta downs even with smg’s.
It sounds like it’s going to be a headshot in every situation, but can you really do that? It seems like I can’t. Why don’t you do a few hundred kills with a pistol with that skill? If I match it anyway, it goes down.
Hmm… that’s weird. I played Moscow in the early days of the game. Although I didn’t beat all the levels, I used the weapons I wanted as soon as the other weapons were unlocked. Personally, I liked the MP28 back then.
Although late submachine guns and automatic rifles open late. But do you still use bolt action rifles after level 30? There are other semi-auto rifles, machine guns, submachine guns. For example, there is the PPD-41 with a magazine of 71 rounds.

If I’m dealing with single or small number of enemies from a distance, where I can afford to stay in cover and pick them off on my terms, K98 does just right, or even arguably beats FG thanks to higher damage and accuracy.
But if I’m dealing with several enemies at once, from multiple directions, and can’t afford the luxury of reloading behind cover, I’d sure as hell still prefer be wielding a 20-rds automatic rifle.
BA buff gives me better chances to survive if I’m in the latter situation but only have the former weapon.
