MG13 is really much better
You need to use it differently. It works much better than MG13 at mid-long range if you shoot in short bursts. Aim it with some leed like a bolt action and squiz trigger for a second or less. Sadly it has a worse “zoom” down the sight. I prefer it for more “precise” and deadly short burst, and it sounds nicer than MG13.
Yeah they handheld Germany by giving them the MG13 first instead of the ZB like it was in the CBT. The MG13 has always been far superior to it.

ZB have higher ROF, but is pretty much a worse weapon than MG13. CBT gunner squad was fine with having ZB as starting weapon tbh. Why it was switched is something that I find hard to understand.
I personally prefer MG cause of better recoil controllability. Especially with maxed out upgrades.
