Both alies and axis have a fair chance in normandy, I have both campaigns sides at level 32, and I still find us side more fun to play.
I belive I have more wins on invasion maps in US side, but overall I also quit more matches when I m clearly playing with bots. But, I belive I m yet to loose a d day batle as us player as far as my memory goes. Can’t tell for sure.
Fg42 imo, it’s a good gun, but way overrated for what it is. There are plenty of guns more capable in my hands on both sides than the fg42. But mileage may vary
For what it takes, darkflow could nerf fg42 to the ground, I still wouldn’t care much about it.
I use it on some squads, just because.
One day the 50 round Thompson will come, or any other toy and the story will reverse, it’s the same over and over… To a point I belive most of this topics are around lack of personal skill than the weapons themselfs.

then let’s not forget that if you try to say, this weapon / vehicle “ex: sturmpistole / m10” works, incredibly users who write once a month, and users who have never written in the forum, they trigger badly and start to give against you, with math, because for them your opinion due to the experience is not valid compared to their using those 5 minutes, those weapon / vehicle I don’t know whether to laugh or cry
I played Moscow this saturday. We (axis) lost the deffence while SU still had 800 tickets left. I was first in my team and I had 16 kils, 2nd guy had 4.
So… It’s all false advertising!

There’s a fine line in the way we express our selfs, experience in-game, time invested and what we did grow overtime in-game. Doesn’t mean my opinion is more valid than any other person commenting.
If I, as a player, keep doing the same over and over again, I will not grow as a player.
But again, I might have Alot of time in my hands to play because of my job, others might have limited time to craft their skills in-game…
I belive fg42 suits perfectly on the case of " I got killed by it, it’s an op gun. Period".
It’s a good gun, but isn’t the best gun on any current campaign on axis side. And allies side on both campaigns that it’s present, have counters, or better guns than it, it’s just the case of “am I good with it against a fg42 user, or I play as passive as a cucumber and I take 38minutes to aim my shot?”

I find m2 carbine more capable than the garand, it’s a solid cqb weapon. Very capable but people tend to avoid it…but again, I m usually the one on the frontline or pushing like a retard, I don’t play medium to long ranges… It’s useless for me
I’m more of an aggressive of guy so weapons that suite my style is ones that I kind of gravitate towards, bonus points if the weapon isn’t great, so I mostly use smgs and automatic rifles
