Worth grinding out Stalingrad Engineers before the merge? Will they still be able to use Assault weapons?

Currenty Stalingrad engineers can use assault rifles and SMG:s unlike engineer squads in other campaigns. Have the devs mentioned if they will be able to do this post-merge?

Sidenote, is the mp717 worth grinding the out Stalingrad campaign for? I sadly dont have the access pass…

according to a helper,

Engineer squads from Stalingrad will be the only ones able to use Assault rifles ( not only MKHBS )

so, i’d say yes. even if you can’t reach the 2nd engineer squad.

yes

if you like uno reverse cards the soviet at their own game in late tier.

You just need to unlock it engineer squad. Soldier upgrade system will be rework , soldier grinding will be easier after update. If you don’t have access pass, I don’t recommend grinding Stalingrad now.

Both Stalingrad engineers and Mp717 are worth it, Stalingrad has the best maps in the game.
If you have high lvls on Moscow, you can transfer weapons over so you dont miss out on Mg42, Zh-29, mkb42(h) and Király 39M.
No stuka, PzIII N, Pz IV G though.
you can get the Stug by buying it with a gold vehicle order. BUT you will only need the Pz IV F2 so dont bother with any other vehicle.

Only started playing a couple of months ago so I didnt get the chance to grab the stalingrad accesspass so no ZH-29, MKB42, mg42 or kiraly. And no Engineer Squad II so no machine guns. But I still have to grind their respective levels though. Such a dogshit system, what were they thinking?

Probably just gonna max out the first engineer squad and never play this POS campaign again.

I they planned to release update and end of previous BP season.
Imagine doing final sales of premium squads that will be discontinued after merge like 4 - 5 months before the actual merge update.

They just screw themselves up. And this lame f2p state of Stalingrad should last for so long. It hour be like 1-2 months long thingy.

Incompetence.

They should just return option to buy Stalingrad access. Or better, give it for free to f2p players. It doesn’t matter a lot anyway.

At least they shouldnt force people who dont own the access pack to grind levels they cant even get anymore.

Ironically they made the best marketing move and the worst one at the same time…
