Also to add it depends on the new player I mean this game isnt that unlike everything in the past so an experienced gamer will pick everything up quite fast.
But for an new new player well everything will be hard for you anyways so pick something that you like and want to specialize in. Better to learn the ropes early then to wait for it is my motto.
There are shit assaulters as there are shit snipers and ive seen alot of them out there…Hopefully they learn their role one day and what their purpose are Like seeing Assaulters trying to snipe from behind your cap while your snipers have to protect it within (and havent marked all game long) is one bad example that happens quite often
Best tip i can give ya is the general rule of thumb. If youre more of an tactician mindset choose Support class, but if youre more like an action chad fps player pick infantry which also involves Assault and some what MG squads. But you can also mold every squad in to your playstyle though so keep that in mind
One battle in Berlin i had to defend the cap zone with my sidearm as a sniper. NO ONE else was there.
But on the other hand i’ve had battles where i didn’t get to shoot much because i was too busy marking troops for my team that went all out and was pushing hard.
So like you said, it all comes down to the player if he can adapt to the situation of the battle. All classes are important if you can use them in the right way. That being said i consider the sniper role the hardest to get right to be effective for the team rather than the worst to play as. It is the worst from a XP point of view if you do you job right.
But you can get so many kills with it along with Tank mark points + you also get bonuses from range. And if you kill ppl inside the caps even better
If i have to pick one though for new players i would say Fighter plane asw, since that requires a good skill in flying and understanding of the battlefield. And if you crash your team will loose points (being attacker) but that also applies to tanks if im not mistaken so its a give or take there. But tanks are easier to manage
but with that said i dont want to discourage ppl from learning their class though as i think everyone can be rly effective when used right
Ofc, but that comes in time as you get better at shooting, as a new player you still have to figure out the basics of sniping, drop, lead, different magnifications of scopes based on factions etc. And all that with one sniper in your squad which gets killed fast, mainly from the new players lack of experience. So you don’t get to do that much sniping as a new player and to get it right and help your team takes practice. And speaking of practice, i would love to see some moving targets at the range to help you get used to leading a target.
Fighter pilot would be worst mostly only for the new player, he might be blocking some capable player but they are rare, and rarely play fighter.
Now if they hop into bomber plane, and do like 5 kills flying around for 10 minutes, while rest of the team gets slaughtered by greyzone tanks that keep getting marked, they are dragging whole team into shitty situation with them.
a Tanker or Fighter is the Worst Thing… because of a NoobTank i can’t take my 60€ Stug3… he drives to the Front and get a instant Hitkill… i take Stug3 and hold the Line
Weren’t you one of those at some point? I mean, you got good with practice and so does everyone. You can’t really hate on a noob for not knowing how to play and practicing to get better, no?
I guess the worst class is pilots of any sort as long as there are suicide bombers, and by that i mean that you wait close to 90 seconds to spawn at start, sometimes you miss it and you join the battle as infantry only to see them kamikaze into the ground 30 seconds later. On the other hand, with a kamikaze pilot on the other team, you don’t realy have to worry about dogfights when you’re in the air.
100% agree. Marking first, shooting second. Especially when observing large groups of enemies that a new player might be tempted to engage right away. The priorities should be: spot a group, mark the group, look for HVT’s within the group (engineer, radio operator, sniper/dmr, MG gunner, AT gunner, etc), take out the HVT’s or other troops that pose an immediate threat to yours, repeat from step 1.
Reaching level 10-13 is not that hard and time-consuming unless you playa faction which has the negative Tunisia-effect. It takes like three or four days if you play like around 5 “good” matches and max. one week.
And still it is the sole class which you cant have indirect exercises for obvious reasons unlike sniper etc.
Nothing wrong with Snipers! Did you forget you only have a max of 2 in a squad. While you are rushing in like lemmings to be killed Snipers have your flank and rear and front while shells from tanks you don’t kill and arty obliterate the points. Oh run out of ammo , what no Engineers building close rally’s and ammo crates for defense. All too busy rushing into objective. All dead rally lost, next. You are all not equal on the playing field those at level 8 vs those at 28, big difference!
